COATED PARTICLES
In a coated particle, a surface of a base material particle is coated with a carbon particle. The carbon particle is produced by disposing an explosive substance with a detonation velocity of 6,300 m/sec or higher in a periphery of a raw material substance containing an aromatic compound having two or less nitro groups, and detonating the explosive substance.
RESIN COATED PROPPANT PARTICLE AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A particle with an environmentally friendly resin coating having very low levels of leachable compounds is disclosed. The water leachable phenolic content of the coated particle is low enough to eliminate problems with leaching of phenol or its derivatives into an aquifer during downhole applications. Processes for fully and partially coating the particle with the resin coating are also disclosed.
SPRAY DRYING
A method of preparing dry core-shell microcapsules from an aqueous dispersion of such capsules, comprising spraying the dispersion through a two-fluid air-liquid nozzle into a heated chamber having an upper part and a lower part, the spraying taking place in the upper part and the lower part being provided with a means of continuous capsule removal. The method allows the drying of capsules with considerably reduced losses.
PHARMACEUTICAL PROCESSING
A method for making a controlled release material, comprising the steps of:
(a) forming granules comprising one or more wax and one or more disintegrant;
(b) spheronisation of the granules and (c) compaction of the spheronised granules of step so as to form the controlled release material. The invention also relates to a tablet and delayed and sustained release material made according to the method.
CONDUCTIVE ADHESIVE WITH SPHERICAL GRAPHENE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A conductive adhesive includes spherical graphene and an epoxy gel system that includes epoxy, a hardener, and an accelerant. A mass ratio of the epoxy gel system to the spherical graphene is 100:2-30. The epoxy of the epoxy gel system is one of one of bisphenol A epoxy resins E44, bisphenol A epoxy resins E51, bisphenol A epoxy resins E54, bisphenol A epoxy resins EPON826, and bisphenol A epoxy resins EPON828, and an amount of the epoxy to the epoxy gel system is 80 wt % to 95 wt %. The hardener is one of hexahydrophthalic anhydride, tetrahydrophthalic anhydride, succinic dihydrazide, adipic acid dihydrazide, dicyandiamide, and phenylenediamine, and an amount of the hardener to the epoxy gel system is 1 wt % to 12 wt %. The accelerant is one of 2-ethyl-4-methylimidazole, imidazole, 2-methylimidazole, and triethylamine, and an amount of the accelerant to the epoxy system is 0.3 wt % to 5 wt %.
Vortex chamber device, and method for treating powder particles or a powder particles precursor
A vortex chamber device comprising: a reactor comprising at least one chamber having a substantially circular cross-section; a device for feeding at least one fluid that is gaseous or liquid into the chamber; a device for removing said one or more fluids from the chamber; a device for feeding powder particles or a powder particles precursor to said chamber;
wherein said fluid removing device comprises at least one discharge opening for removing said at least one fluid from the chamber. The invention also provides a method for treating powder particles or a powder particles precursor.
UREA COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Disclosed is a particulate, urea-containing composition, to a method and apparatus for producing it, to the use thereof as fertilizer, as technical urea or as feed additive, and to the use of an additive for producing a particulate, urea-containing composition.
Microwave Bonding For Coating Compositions
A method of bonding two or more components of a free flowing powder composition is described herein. At least a first component, such as for example, a metal effect pigment, and at least a second component, such as for example, an organic material is provided, and one or both components are heated by variable frequency microwave radiation to bond or fuse the components together. Coating compositions and coated articles made by the described method are also provided.
Functional polymer film-coated particle having high drug content, tablet containing same, and methods for production thereof
Provided are functional drug-containing particles which can be compressed into tablets and in particular, to orally disintegrating tablets by employing any of a dry molding method, a wet molding method, or a humidifying drying method. The functional drug-containing particles comprise substantially spherical drug-containing particles essentially including drug and a binder, the functional drug-containing particles including a functional polymer film selected from the group consisting of an enteric film, a release control film, and a bitter taste masking film, an average particle diameter of said functional drug-containing particles being 400 m or less, a particle diameter ratio D.sub.90/D.sub.10 of the functional drug-containing particles with respect to particle size distribution calculated on a volumetric basis being 1.65 or more, or a coefficient of variation in particle diameters being 24% or more.
ACID TREATMENT FOR FERTILIZERS TO INCREASE ZINC SOLUBILITY AND AVAILABILITY
Methods and system for increasing the water solubility and availability of zinc in granular fertilizers using acid treatments. The treatment of granular fertilizers with an acidic solution increases an amount of water-soluble zinc, which in turn, increases the efficiency of zinc uptake and reduces the costs and equipment otherwise needed to mitigate zinc deficiencies.
