PIGMENT MIXTURE
The present invention relates to a pigment mixture based on at least two components A and B, where component A is a mixture of flake-form and spherical substrates which is covered with one or more inorganic layers and/or organic layers,
and component B comprises crystalline or amorphous particles selected from the group of the metal oxides, metal hydroxides, metal oxyhalides, Prussian Blue or mixtures thereof,
and to the use thereof in paints, coatings, printing inks, security printing inks, plastics, ceramic materials, glasses, in cosmetic formulations, as tracer, as filler and for the preparation of pigment preparations and dry preparations.
SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES FOR MIXING WET AND DRY MATERIALS
A coating apparatus with a coating chamber configured for receiving a particulate, a horizontally-oriented rotor having a plurality of paddles mounted thereon, the rotor and the paddles defining a liquid injection path fluidly connected to a liquid injection system, the liquid injection system arranged to supply a liquid under conditions suitable to continuously coat the particulate in a manner that substantially reduces formation of caked solid-liquid mixture on inner walls of the coating chamber.
WURSTER ACCELERATOR WITH POWDER APPLICATOR
A Wurster processor and a powder feed system are coupled via an eductor so as to supply dry powder through the air diverter sleeve of the Wurster for discharging onto the circulating particles during operation of the Wurster. Agglomeration and aggregation of the particles is eliminated or minimized by isolating or separating the liquid spray by the spray gun from the dry powder.
APPARATUS
A reactor for forming fully coated particles having a solid core, the reactor comprises a reactor vessel which is configured to receive particles, and a gas phase coating mechanism that is configured to selectively introduce pulses of gas phase materials that form a coating on the particles. The reactor also includes a sieve (16) that is located within the reactor vessel, and a forcing means that is configured to force the particles through the sieve (16) in use. The sieve is configured to deagglomerate any particle aggregates formed in the reactor vessel upon forcing of the particles by the forcing means through the sieve.
High Value Organic-Enhanced Inorganic Fertilizers
The invention is directed to manufacture of fertilizer having commercial levels of nitrogen supplemented with organic substances. The process treats organic matter with acid causing hydrolysis of organic polymers after which the mix is injected with nitrogen. The resultant sterilized and liquefied organic matter is disbursed over recycled material for the production of granules. Because the process allows for the controlled addition of acids and ammonia, desired levels of components can be achieved. The process is scalable, odor controlled and safe thereby allowing for the location of biosolid processing facilities in most any location. Further, the fertilizer of the invention provides a dual nitrogen-release profile when applied to crops. After application to soil, fertilizer of the invention releases an immediate bolus of nitrogen, similar to traditional ammonium sulfate, followed by continued slow release of nitrogen typically over a season.
Apparatus for coating particulate material flowing through a chute
An injector head for delivering particulate material from a feeder source to a receiver is fitted with a plurality of splitter bars extending generally laterally from the sidewalls thereof into the space through which particulate material is fed as it flows into a receiver. Spray nozzles mounted to said sidewalls below said splitter bars spray coating material generally laterally relative to said sidewalls and generally laterally relative to the length of said splitter bars so as to coat particulate material as it passes over and to the sides and ends of said splitter bars.
APPLICATION OF ANDROGRAPHOLIDE IN THE PREPARATION OF A PHARMACEUTICAL FOR TREATMENT OF INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASE, ANDROGRAPHOLIDE ENTERIC TARGETING MICROPELLET, AND METHOD FOR PREPARATION THEREOF
The present invention relates to an andrographolide enteric targeting micropellet and method for preparation thereof; furthermore, the present invention also relates to uses of andrographolide and andrographolide enteric targeting micropellets in the preparation of a pharmaceutical for treatment of inflammatory bowel disease.
PADDLE CONFIGURATION FOR A PARTICLE COATING REACTOR
A reactor for coating particles includes a stationary vacuum chamber to hold a bed of particles to be coated, a chemical delivery system, and a paddle assembly. The paddle assembly includes a rotatable drive shaft and a first plurality of paddles and a second plurality of paddles that extend radially from the drive shaft. The spacing, cross-sections, and oblique angles of the paddles are such that orbiting of the paddles causes the first plurality of paddles and the second plurality of paddles to displace substantially equal volumes in opposite directions in the lower portion of the stationary vacuum chamber.
Methods and apparatuses for energy storage device electrode fabrication
An apparatus for forming an electrode film mixture can have a first source including a polymer dispersion comprising a liquid and a polymer, a second source including a second component of the electrode film mixture, and a fluidized bed coating apparatus including a first inlet configured to receive from the first source the dispersion, and a second inlet configured to receive from the second source the second component.
DRUM COATER FOR APPLYING A SURFACE LAYER ON BULK-LIKE MATERIALS AND MIXING TOOL TO BE USED IN A DRUM COATER
A drum coater for applying a surface layer on bulk-like materials includes a rotatably mounted drum for accommodating bulk-like materials, inlet and outlet openings, at least one spray nozzle for applying the surface material, a drying device for a drum interior, at least first and second radially-offset mixing tools in the drum, the first mixing tool protruding into the drum interior. The at least one second mixing tool has at least one mixing surface such that the first mixing tool is at least partially arranged on the drum inner surface and the at least one second mixing tool has at least one opening on the at least one mixing surface. A mixing tool to be used in a drum coater to gently blend and/or homogenize bulk-like materials has a first mixing surface angled relative to a second mixing surface, at least one mixing surface having at least one opening.
