VAPOR PHASE COATINGS FOR PHARMACEUTICAL SOLUBILITY CONTROL
A method of preparing a pharmaceutical composition having a drug-containing core enclosed by one or more metal oxide materials is provided. The method includes the sequential steps of (a) loading the particles comprising the drug into a reactor, (b) applying a vaporous or gaseous metal precursor to the particles in the reactor, (c) performing one or more pump-purge cycles of the reactor using inert gas, (d) applying a vaporous or gaseous oxidant to the particles in the reactor, and (e) performing one or more pump-purge cycles of the reactor using inert gas. The temperature of the particles does not exceed 35° C. This produces a pharmaceutical composition comprising a drug containing core enclosed by one or more metal oxide materials.
Coating device with movable spray nozzles
The invention relates to a coating device (100) with movable spray nozzles comprising a rotating drum (3) and positioning group (1) of a set of spray nozzles (21) for a product with a control column (5) able to be located essentially axially inside the drum (3) and which houses an inner shaft (6), the control column (5) being equipped with at least an articulated arm (7) that includes a rotating nozzle set (21) carrier (20). A transmission system (30) based on pulley means and corresponding pulling means housed in the control column (5) and in the articulated arm (7) simultaneously produce the contraction or extension of the articulated arm (7) and the rotation of the nozzle set (21) carrier (2) based on the relative angular position between the steering column (5) and the inner shaft (6).
Method for Monitoring a Nozzle Mouthpiece for Placing On a Nozzle
A method for monitoring a nozzle mouthpiece for placing on a nozzle for spraying materials, in particular dispersions, emulsions or suspensions.
Solvent recovery from sweep gas streams
A method for removing solvent from a solvent containing sweep gas stream obtained from a fertilizer coating process is disclosed. The method can include directly contacting the solvent containing sweep gas stream with an aqueous composition comprising 50% wt/wt to 100% wt/wt of water, condensing at least a portion of the solvent out of the solvent containing sweep gas stream into the aqueous composition to produce a solvent-enriched aqueous composition and a recovered sweep gas stream, and removing the recovered sweep gas stream from the solvent-enriched aqueous composition.
DRY POWDER COATING APPARATUS
A dry powder coating apparatus for coating pharmaceutical solid dosage forms includes a housing; a drum coater; a powder coating system; a liquid spray system; a ventilation system; a heating system; a touch screen control panel; and an operation box. The drum coater may have a truncated cone on both sides, in which one side is opened and another side is closed. The drum coater is horizontally placed inside the operation box along its axis and fixed on a rotatable shaft and a motor drives the rotatable shaft and rotates the drum coater about its own axis.
Apparatus for coating bulk material
A coating apparatus and method are disclosed for coating tablets with a film, in which the tables transit through a drilled first container where they are coated, then exit the first container and are removed from a rotating element provided on the periphery of a plurality of removal members that are spaced angularly apart from one another, in which each removal member removes a quantity of tablets, raises the removed tables as far as a certain height and then discharges the tablets into a chute that conveys the tablets into a second rotating drilled container, with delicate transfer of the coated tablets from one container to the next.
Device and Method for Granulating, Agglomerating, Pelletising, Drying and/or Coating
Provided is a device for granulating, agglomerating, pelletising, drying and/or coating, the device including a swirl chamber, a distribution chamber, wherein the swirl chamber is separated from the distribution chamber by a base and wherein a powder to be granulated or a powder mixture to be granulated is presented in the swirl chamber, the device further including at least one agitator for thoroughly mixing the powder to be granulated or the powder mixture to be granulated and at least one addition device for a liquid, wherein the base is designed in several parts and at least one base part is horizontally and/or vertically displaceable, with the result that that the base becomes a distributor plate. Also provided is a method for granulating, agglomerating, pelletising, drying and/or coating using such a device and a base suitable for use as a distributor plate in a convective drying apparatus.
UREA GRANULATION PROCESS
A process of granulation of a urea melt, comprising: adding a first additive containing carboxymethyl starch to one or more first stage(s) of the granulation process, to form a carboxymethyl starch containing inner layer of urea granules, and adding a second additive containing calcium lignosulfonate to one or more second stage(s) of the granulation process, downstream said first stages, to form granules with a coating containing calcium lignosulfonate.
Methods and systems for coating granular substrates
A process for producing a coated particle to provide controlled release characteristics. In this process the mixing of the substrate and coating is made in a mixing device and that mixture is then transferred to a reactor vessel different from the mixing device where the chemical curing of the coating over the particles takes place. Several layers of coating can be applied by repeating the steps and it can be run in a fully continuous manner.
Coating apparatus and method
The present invention relates to an apparatus for coating carrier particles with guest particles. The apparatus comprises a cylindrical processing vessel rotatable about its axis and having solid walls defining a chamber for receiving the particles, and a hollow shaft extending within the chamber at least partly along the axis of the cylindrical processing vessel, the hollow shaft defining a gas flow path connected to a gas inlet. The hollow shaft comprises one or more axially-extending slots or one or more axially-extending rows of apertures allowing fluid communication between the gas flow path and the chamber. The apparatus may be used in a process for coating carrier particles with guest particles, the process comprising: adding the particles to the chamber defined by the cylindrical processing vessel; rotating the cylindrical processing vessel about its axis; and flowing gas from the gas inlet along the gas flow path in the hollow shaft and into the chamber through the one or more axially-extending slots or one or more axially-extending rows of apertures.
