The furniture apparatus can further include one or more devices, wherein the first foldable section and the second foldable section can open upward from a locked and closed position to reveal a gap within which the one or more utility devices can be installed and concealed when the foldable sections are in a closed position and the hinged tabletop rests in a flat horizontal position.

A furniture system includes a beam member including a bottom wall and a pair of side walls that cooperate to define a channel configured to route a plurality of wires therethrough, and an electrical power block located at least partially within the channel, wherein a portion of at least one of the walls is movable between a first position where the portion is substantially planar with the at least one of the walls, and a second position where the portion extends into the channel and is not planar with the at least one of the walls, and wherein the electrical power block is supported by the portion.
