Fluidized bed granulation
Method and fluidized bed reactor for the production of granules, such as granules of urea or ammonium nitrate. The fluidized bed reactor comprises at least one granulation compartment with air inlets, and an air moving device downstream of the granulation compartment, e.g., downstream of at least one scrubbers. The air moving device is configured to draw air through said at least one air inlet into at least one granulation compartment.

Fluidized bed device and method for coating particles or granulation
The present invention relates to a fluidized bed apparatus and a method for particle-coating or granulating, the fluidized bed apparatus includes a swirl generator which is mounted on a sprayer body in the fluidized bed apparatus and extends throughout an air distribution plate and is connected to a source of compressed air. The swirl generator comprises a tubular sleeve extending circumferentially around the sprayer body, and an air chamber is defined between the sleeve and the sprayer body, wherein the sleeve comprises a plurality of guiding slots. The air from the source of compressed air via the air chamber is directed by said guiding slots to rotate outwardly, so as to provide a swirling air stream circumferentially outwardly relative to the sprayer. The present invention can facilitate the development of the spray pattern and the particle flow pattern and allows the particles to spin respectively due to slight friction with the inner wall of the partition, thereby opportunities for the particles to obtain a more uniform spray when subsequently passing through the spray zone above the nozzle are increased, so that performance of the fluidized bed apparatus is improved.

Pyrolysis to determine hydrocarbon expulsion efficiency of hydrocarbon source rock
An open system pyrolysis of a first hydrocarbon source rock sample obtained from a natural system is performed within a pyrolysis chamber by maintaining the pyrolysis chamber at a substantially constant temperature. Hydrocarbons are recovered from the pyrolysis chamber released by the first hydrocarbon source rock sample. A thermo-vaporization is performed within the pyrolysis chamber on the pyrolyzed sample at a substantially constant temperature. A first hydrocarbon expulsion efficiency of hydrocarbon source rock is determined. A second hydrocarbon rock sample is ground to a grain size less than or equal to or less than 250 micrometers. A second pyrolysis is performed on the ground hydrocarbon source rock sample by maintaining the chamber at a substantially constant temperature. A second hydrocarbon expulsion efficiency of the hydrocarbon source rock in the natural system is determined. The first hydrocarbon expulsion efficiency is verified using the second hydrocarbon expulsion efficiency.
PHYTASE FORMULATION
A liquid enzyme formulation, an enzyme granule formulation, methods for manufacturing enzyme granules using a fluid bed dryer, wherein the enzyme granules are thermostable without the need for a thermostable coating is provided. The enzyme granules are phytase granules used in the manufacturing of an animal feed, wherein the phytase granule is thermostable without the need for a thermostable coating and the phytase retains about 63% to about 134% of its activity after pelleting at 80 C.
