Blade head for granulating strands of material and granulating apparatus having such a blade head and method for assembling such a blade head

A blade head for granulating strands of material comprises a blade carrier and at least one granulating blade fastened thereto. The respective granulating blade is fastened to a positioning component which bears against the blade carrier for the rough positioning of the granulating blade. For fine positioning purposes, at least one adjusting element bears against the respective granulating blade. The blade head permits simple, user-friendly and precise assembly and setting of the respective granulating blade.

Process

The present disclosure relates to a process for forming substantially dust-free additive granules, comprising the steps of: a) extruding or otherwise processing an additive or blend of additives to provide an substrate; b) cooling the substrate; c) conveying the substrate onto a profiled surface; and d) fragmenting the substrate into granules by means of a first rotating roller bearing on the substrate on the profiled surface.

Process for the production of a sulfone polymer agglomerate from the recovery of expanded sulfone polymer

A process for the production of a polymeric agglomerate obtained from expanded sulfone polymer recovered from extrusion or injection molding processes of sulfone polymer, the agglomeration of said expanded sulfone polymer being effected in said process. With respect to the known art for the production of expanded sulfone polymers that use starting virgin sulfone polymers, the present invention offers the advantage of providing a recovered expanded sulfone polymer which can be used as starting material together with the corresponding virgin sulfone polymer.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING EXCREMENT TREATMENT MATERIAL

A manufacturing apparatus is an apparatus for manufacturing a water absorption treatment material that is composed of a plurality of grains, and includes a granulation machine and a coating machine. The granulation machine granulates a granulation material and thereby forms a granule (core portion) that constitutes each of the grains The coating machine attaches a coating material that contains an adhesive material to a surface of the core portion formed by the granulation machine, and thereby forms a coating portion that covers the surface of the core portion. The granulation machine forms the core portion that has a through hole that extends through the core portion.

PLASTIC STRAND GRANULATOR HAVING AN ADJUSTING MECHANISM FOR ADJUSTING THE CUTTING GAP

In a plastic strand granulator the width of a cutting gap between a cutting rotor and a knife strip is gauged by an adjustment mechanism by setting the position of the knife strip. For this purpose the adjustment mechanism has an actuator with a differential thread having a reducing transmission ratio. The adjustment mechanism can advantageously be gauged automatically to a predetermined cutting gap width by a control circuit, wherein the adjustment mechanism is gauged in dependence on vibration parameters which are captured on the knife strip or on the cutting rotor. For this purpose, ultrasonic vibrations are introduced into the component in question and detected at some distance therefrom and evaluated.

Apparatus and process for forming particles

An apparatus and process for forming particles. A precursor material is provided to a rotor-stator construction and fed through apertures in the cylinder. The apertures are in intermittent fluid communication with the stator. A conveyor is provided beneath the cylinder. The conveyor has recesses and the recesses move in registration with the apertures in the cylinder. The precursor material is passed through the apertures and deposited in the recesses in an amount that overfills the recesses. The deposited precursor material is cooled to form a plurality of particles.
