Device for Manufacturing Granular Materials or Extrudates
A device for producing granular materials or extrudates. The device includes a container having: an inlet for the material to be treated, an inlet for a liquid; a stirring device for producing an intermediate product from the material to be processed and the liquid; an outlet for the intermediate product; and an emptying pipe. The device includes an emptying pipe, which has: an inlet for the intermediate product; an outlet for the granular material or extrudate; and a conveying device, which conveys the intermediate product from the inlet of the emptying pipe toward the outlet of the emptying pipe, the emptying pipe, which is rotatable about an axis E-E, being arranged on the container in such a way that the emptying pipe can be moved between an open position and a closed position relative to the container.

Method for producing a diene elastomer modified with a 1,3-dipolar compound
A process for the preparation of a diene elastomer modified by a 1,3-dipolar compound is provided. The process comprises a thermomechanical kneading of a mixture of a diene elastomer and of a 1,3-dipolar compound in an internal mixer in order to form a modified diene elastomer, followed by an extrusion of the modified diene elastomer.

Multilayer polymer composite constructs
A method of forming particles for controlled guest agent release includes coextruding first and second polymer materials to form a multilayer polymer composite sheet comprising alternating first and second polymer layers, dividing the multilayer sheet into particles, immersing the particles in a solvent containing the guest agent such that the first layers swell and the guest agent is loaded into the swollen first layers.

Water absorption treatment material and method for manufacturing the same
A water absorption treatment material absorbs a liquid containing a malodorous substance, and includes a first grain and a second grain. The first grain contains a metal having a deodorizing function. The second grain does not contain a metal having a deodorizing function.
Method for Emptying a Device for Producing Granules or Extrudates
A method for emptying a device for producing granules or extrudates. The device includes a container having an inlet for the material to be treated, an inlet for a liquid, a stirring device, an outlet for said intermediate product, and an emptying pipe having an inlet for the intermediate product and an outlet for the granules or extrudate as well as a conveying device conveying the intermediate product from the inlet of the emptying pipe in the direction of the outlet of the emptying pipe. The method includes the steps of: producing the intermediate product from the material to be treated and the liquid in the container; moving the emptying pipe from the closed position with respect to the container into an open position with respect to the container; and conveying the intermediate product from the container and via the conveying devices.

Shaped or sized encapsulated reactant and method of making
Technologies are described for a method of making an encapsulated reactant having a desired shape or size. The method comprises providing solid reactant particles and an encapsulating material. The encapsulating material is heated above its solidification temperature to form a molten, semi-solid, or liquid encapsulating material. The solid reactant particles are added to the molten, semi-solid, or liquid encapsulating material and mixed to disperse the solid reactant particles in the encapsulating material and form a mixture. The mixture may be extruded or formed into the desired shape or size of the encapsulated reactant, or the mixture may be solidified and extruded, granulated, shredded, ground, or pressed into the desired shape or size.
