TRANSFORMING BED WITH A MOVABLE SLEEPING SECTION AND AN EXTENDABLE SUPPORT
A cabinet bed that includes a movable spacer, attached to an extendable support (e.g., a movable drawer), for supporting a movable sleeping section and/or includes at least one laterally extending slidable guide to maintain the extendable support in alignment with the movable sleeping section. For example, the cabinet bed may include the movable spacer that is pivotably attached to the extendable support underneath the movable sleeping section when in a horizontal position. The cabinet bed may also include a pair of laterally extending slidable guides extending from each side of the extendable support and/or a second pair of laterally extending slidable glides extending toward a respective side of the extendable support to maintain the extendable support in alignment with the movable sleeping section.
Convertible tool case to a support assembly
A position adjustable support assembly is convertible to and from a tool case, to allow transport with a plurality of articles attached thereto. A segmented position adjustable support assembly has a center assembly and a left and right assembly. The left and right assemblies are rotatable about the center assembly and the vertical supports of the center, left and right assemblies can be retained in base and top-receivers of a tool case. Retainers may secure the segmented assembly to the base and top. This allows a user to mount the segmented assembly in a first work location, and then convert the segmented assembly to a tool case for transport to a second work location.

CONVERTIBLE ARTICLE OF FURNITURE
An article of furniture includes a cabinet housing having an open side. A panel can be disposed relative to the cabinet housing and moveable between a first position and a second position spaced away from the cabinet housing. A linkage can be mounted to the panel, and at least two pads can be mounted to the linkage. Each of the at least two pads can have surface on which a person can sit or recline.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INTEGRATING FIRE SAFETY FEATURES WITHIN ROBOTIC FURNITURE AND INTERIOR ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENTS
Improved methods and systems for operating moveable architectural elements (e.g., furniture) are described. The method includes receiving an indicator of a detection event. The method includes performing a movement of the moveable architectural element from a first position to a second position in response thereto, wherein the second position is selected to reduce an interference of the moveable architectural element with an alleviation system configured to alleviate the detection event. The detection event includes at least one of: fire, carbon monoxide, and smoke. The second position is selected based on a distance of the moveable architectural element from the alleviation system. The second position is selected based on an orientation of the moveable architectural element with respect to the alleviation system. Many other improvements and features are contemplated and described.
Table For Aircraft Interiors
A system and method for providing a table in aircraft is disclosed. The table is able to be deployed out such that it extends across an aisle towards an inwardly-facing seat on the other side. The extension enables passengers sitting in the side facing seat to support articles and otherwise use the extended surface area.
MULTI-FUNCTION CREDENZA
A multi-function credenza includes at least one cabinet with a first top surface and a seat adjacent the cabinet. The seat has a convertible seat back for converting to a second top surface adjacent to the first top surface when the seat is stowed. A multi-function credenza in an aircraft cabin includes a first cabinet that has a first inboard panel and a first top surface, a second cabinet that has a second inboard panel and a second top surface, and a stowable seat located between the first cabinet and the second cabinet. A stowable seat includes a seat back that has a first side adapted for seating in a first mode and a second side adapted as a working surface in a second mode. The seat back articulates between the first mode and the second mode for deploying and stowing the seat, respectively.
Laboratory device
It is problematic that modern classrooms are often not so flexibly usable that said classrooms are suitable for lecture-style teaching and also for natural-science teaching with practical instructional content. Therefore, the invention relates to a laboratory device (1), comprising a cabinet (10), which has an internal cabinet space (11), wherein a laboratory bench (20) is supported at the cabinet (10) in such a way that the laboratory bench can be pivoted about an axis of rotation (A), and wherein the laboratory bench (20) is positioned in the cabinet space (11) in a first pivot position (P1) about the pivot axis (A) and is arranged at least partially outside of the cabinet space (11) in a second pivot position (P2) about the axis of rotation (A).

System and Method of Using an Array of Actuated Furniture Partitions
The present invention relates to a new type of furniture, which can be reconfigured into an arbitrarily large number of shapes. The changing of furniture shape is accomplished with an array of individually driven actuators which are used to displace a set of furniture components (or modules) in particular spatial amount in order to cause an overall yet arbitrary furniture shape (or look).
