Light alkanes to liquid fuels
The present disclosure relates generally processes and systems for converting a C2-C7 light alkanes feed to liquid transportation fuels or value-added chemicals. The feed is contacted with an aromatization catalyst at a temperature and pressure that selectively converts C4 and larger alkanes to an intermediate product comprising monocyclic aromatics and olefins. Following separation of the aromatics and C5+ hydrocarbons from the intermediate product, unconverted C2-C3 alkanes are thermally-cracked to produce olefins that are subsequently oligomerized to produce a liquid transportation fuel blend stock or value-added chemicals.
SYSTEM FOR GENERATING H2S IN AN ALKALINE MEDIUM AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
Method of producing hydrogen sulfide in an alkaline environment. A mixture having a sodium salt, elemental sulfur (S) and water is added to a reactor for the purpose of generating hydrogen sulfide (H.sub.2S) gas as the main product and sodium sulfate (Na.sub.2SO.sub.4) as a byproduct.
HYDROGEN PURIFICATION/STORAGE APPARATUS AND METHOD USING LIQUID ORGANIC HYDROGEN CARRIER
The present disclosure relates to a hydrogen purification/storage apparatus and method using a liquid organic hydrogen carrier (LOHC).
System for generating H.SUB.2.S in an alkaline medium and method of using the same
Method of producing hydrogen sulfide in an alkaline environment. A mixture having a sodium salt, elemental sulfur (S) and water is added to a reactor for the purpose of generating hydrogen sulfide (H.sub.2S) gas as the main product and sodium sulfate (Na.sub.2SO.sub.4) as a byproduct.

Process for feeding a polymerisation catalyst
The present invention is directed to a process for feeding a polymerisation catalyst into a polymerisation reactor (7), comprising the steps of: (i) maintaining a catalyst slurry comprising a diluent and a solid catalyst component in a catalyst feed vessel (4); (ii) continuously withdrawing a stream of the catalyst slurry from the catalyst feed vessel (4); and (iii) introducing the withdrawn portion of the catalyst slurry into the polymerisation reactor (7), wherein the catalyst slurry is transferred by using a valveless piston pump (5) from the catalyst feed vessel (4) into the polymerisation reactor (7); the diluent has a dynamic viscosity of from 0.01 to 20 mPas at the conditions within the catalyst feed vessel (4), and wherein the catalyst slurry is transferred along a substantially vertical path downwards from the catalyst feed vessel (4) to the reactor (7).
METHANATION REACTOR AND METHOD
The present relates to a chemical reactor comprising a catalyst bed enclosed in a reactor vessel and at least one cooling tube placed in the reactor vessel and passing through the catalyst bed, characterized in that the cooling tubes are disposed within the reactor so as to generate thermal gradients of at least 20 C./cm thereby generating hot spots throughout the reactor upon carrying out a reaction. The invention further relates to a methanation process.
Induction heater system for a fluidized bed reactor
A system for the production of a polycrystalline silicon product is disclosed. The system includes a reaction chamber, a susceptor, an induction unit, and a plurality of energy sources. The reaction chamber has a reactor wall, and the susceptor encircles the reactor wall. The induction heater surrounds the susceptor, and has multiple induction coils for producing heat in the susceptor. The coils are grouped into a plurality of zones. The plurality of energy sources supply electric current to the coils. Each energy source is connected with the coils of at least one zone.
ETHYLENE-TO-LIQUIDS SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Integrated systems are provided for the production of higher hydrocarbon compositions, for example liquid hydrocarbon compositions, from methane using an oxidative coupling of methane system to convert methane to ethylene, followed by conversion of ethylene to selectable higher hydrocarbon products. Integrated systems and processes are provided that process methane through to these higher hydrocarbon products.
PROCESS FOR SEPARATING HYDROCARBON COMPOUNDS
Disclosed herein are processes for producing and separating ethane and ethylene. In some embodiments, an oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) product gas comprising ethane and ethylene is introduced to a separation unit comprising two separators. Within the separation unit, the OCM product gas is separated to provide a C.sub.2-rich effluent, a methane-rich effluent, and a nitrogen-rich effluent. Advantageously, in some embodiments the separation is achieved with little or no external refrigeration requirement.
