ACTUATED HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE OPTICAL TABLE
Disclosed is an actuated, height adjustable optical table or workstation for use in microscopy, optical research laboratories and similar environments. The height adjustable design includes fixed and moving parts which combine to create a rigid, height adjustable table structure on which to mount an optical breadboard or similar platforms via optional rigid, passive or active vibration isolation mounts. The height adjustment is performed by multiple compact actuators with associated control hardware and software, and allows the user or an application system to perform activities with the table at any heights.
Workspace system and components and method for the use thereof
A workspace system includes different base components, different accessory interfaces and different accessories. Different accessory interfaces may be fixed to different base components, and different accessories may be releasably engaged by different, or the same accessory interfaces. The same accessories may be engaged by different accessory interfaces. The base components and accessories may be reconfigured to define different workspaces. Methods of assembling and reconfiguring the workspaces are also provided.
Table with multiple horizontally and vertically adjustable table top sections
Multiple table top sections are separately and independently adjustable both vertically and horizontally, so that multiple patients/users can sit and use the table comfortably and with a feeling of inclusion and community. The controllers for unlatching each table section may be biased paddles under, but very near, the right and/or left edges of the table sections. By placing the user's palm on the top of table section and curling the fingers down around the edge to engage the paddle, the user can grasp both the right or left edge and the associated paddle with the same hand, to both unlatch the table top section and apply force to the edge to move the table section into the desired adjusted position. Release of the paddle and the edge automatically relatch the table section in the desired adjusted position for use of the table.
Release of the paddle and the edge automatically re-latch the table section in the desired adjusted position for use of the table.
Variable height desk
A variable height desk includes: a main support; a plurality of linear guides mounted to the main support; a desk mounting panel mounted to and configured to move along the linear guides; a desk surface mounted to the desk mounting panel; and an actuator accommodated in the main support and configured to raise and lower the desk mounting panel.
Modular platform system
A modular platform system includes a base module and at least one extension module. One side of the base module has a recess for receiving a connector on one side of the extension module to connect the extension module to the base module. The extension module may include a recess for receiving a connecting member on a second extension module to connect the second extension module to the extension module.
STUDENT SMART DESK AND IMPROMPTU SHIELDING SYSTEM
A smart desk and barricade provide ad-hoc protection during emergencies and an augmented presentation environment. A first desk tabletop includes a connection positioned on an underside of the first desk tabletop, that is configured for detachable coupling to a desk frame. Removal of the tabletop from the desk frame provides a shield. An interlocking element is positioned on one or more edges of the first desk tabletop. The interlocking element is configured to temporarily connect to an edge of a second desk tabletop. A temporary attachment of the first desk tabletop to the second desk tabletop forms a barricade system. In some embodiments, a computing device is integrated into the desk tabletop. A smart room environment may network the desk with integrated computing device to other computing devices in the room.
METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING A PIECE OF FURNITURE
The invention relates to a system for constructing a piece of furniture, partitions or an exhibition stand, said system comprising at least one supporting structure (10) which has a flat shape and comprises a plurality of side edges (10a, 10b), wherein interfaces (12) embodied and designed for connection to other system components are provided on at least two edges (10a, 10b). At least one adjusting element (14) is interlockingly and/or frictionally attached to the interfaces (12) arranged on the edges (10a, 10b) and pertaining to the at least one supporting structure (10). As a result of the interfaces (12) arranged in the edges (10a, 10b) of the supporting structure (10) and protected by the supporting structure being at least partially built into the supporting structure (10) and arranged in recesses (13) provided in the side edges (10a, 10b), and the at least one adjusting element (14, 14, 14) being attached to the interfaces (12) by means of a mating part to the respective interface (12), a flexible, modular system with interfaces on the edges of a supporting structure is provided, by means of which all of the functions of a piece of furniture can be covered. Furthermore, the supporting structure itself is constructed correspondingly.
CHASE FOR CONNECTING TABLES
A furniture system includes a first table having a first tabletop and one or more first legs supporting the first tabletop. The first tabletop includes a first upper surface and a first lower surface opposite the first upper surface. The furniture system also includes a second table having a second tabletop and one or more second legs supporting the second tabletop. The second tabletop includes a second upper surface and a second lower surface opposite the second upper surface. A chase is coupled to the first lower surface and the second lower surface to physically connect the first table to the second table. The chase includes a first channel extending therethrough. The first channel is configured to receive one or more cables.
MODULAR ACCESSORY UNIT
A modular accessory system includes a base, a power interface attached to the base, and a communication interface attached to the base. The base is connectable to a base of an additional modular accessory system. The power interface is to provide power to or receive power from the additional modular accessory system responsive to the modular accessory system switching from a first mode to a second mode. The communication interface is to communicate with the additional modular accessory system responsive to the modular accessory system switching from the first mode to the second mode.
