DEVICE FOR PRODUCING A CLOSED CURRENT CIRCUIT WITH A FLOWABLE MEDIUM AND A VIBRATING METAL CONDUCTOR

The invention relates to a device for building a closed current circuit A, in which electric charge carriers move at least through a metal conductor, a flowable medium and a resonantly mechanically vibrating metal conductor C, which is mechanically connected to elements which generate mechanical vibrations. The device is characterized in that the current circuit B generating the previously mentioned resonant mechanical vibrations is decoupled from the previously mentioned current circuit A and from the components transmitting mechanical vibrations between the elements generating vibrations and the resonantly mechanically vibrating metal conductor C, which is in contact with the flowable medium, by means of electrically non-conductive coupling elements on two sides of the vibration-generating elements.

A method for manufacturing a slurry for a positive electrode of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery using an aqueous solvent containing an alkali metal complex oxide, includes: while causing a raw material slurry containing a solid content and the solvent as slurry raw materials for a positive electrode of the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery to flow along a path, performing a neutralization treatment on an alkali component in the raw material slurry by inorganic carbon supplied to the raw material slurry flowing along the path.

METHOD FOR EXFOLIATING PARTICLES

The invention relates to an exfoliation method according to which a fluid loaded with particles flows at a first flow rate into a first (2), and then into a second, section of a pipe (1), the first flow rate being suitable for generating shear stresses and cavitation bubbles in the fluid as it passes through the first section (2) of the pipe (1), the second section (3) having a hydraulic diameter suitable for bringing about an implosion of cavitation bubbles as soon as the fluid exits the first section (2) and flows into the second section (3), so that an exfoliation of the particles is brought about under the combined action of the shear stresses and a shock wave generated by the implosion of the cavitation bubbles, the first section (2) having a hydraulic diameter less than 300 m.

A system and method for degumming oil is used to increase oil yield and reduce impurities such as phosphorus. An oil feedstock, water and enzyme mixture is passed through a high shear mixing device prior to being fed to an agitated reactor equipped with a recirculation system. The recirculation system includes a second high shear mixing device that further mixes the oil mixture in the reactor during processing. The reacted mixture is discharged from the reactor to a downstream post-reaction system for separating the degummed oil from the reacted mixture. The separation step can be used to remove the phosphatides and other impurities from the reacted oil to form a purified oil product.
