Cooling device with an endothermic chemical reaction
A cooling device uses an endothermic chemical reaction for cooling. The cooling device includes a sealed casing with at least two reagents that generate an endothermic chemical reaction when they come into contact. The cooling device further includes a separating membrane separating the reagents in a storage position; a contact-making system which can be activated and configured to bring the reagents into contact with one another when activated, an interface element for activating the contact-making system; and a thermal interface with a thermally conductive metal base plate. One of the surfaces of the base plate is subjected to the endothermic chemical reaction, and the other surface of the base plate is accessible from outside the cooling device.
Ethylene polymerization processes and reactor systems for the production of multimodal polymers using combinations of a loop reactor and a fluidized bed reactor
Polymerization processes and reactor systems for producing multimodal ethylene polymers are disclosed in which at least one loop reactor and at least one fluidized bed reactor are utilized. Configurations include a loop reactor in series with a fluidized bed reactor and two loop reactors in series with a fluidized bed reactor.
COMBINED REFORMING APPARATUS
A combined reforming apparatus is provided. The combined reforming apparatus includes a body, a plurality of first catalyst tubes disposed inside the body and reacting at a first temperature to reform hydrocarbons (C.sub.xH.sub.y) having two or more carbon atoms into methane (CH.sub.4), a plurality of second catalyst tubes disposed inside the body, connected to the plurality of first catalyst tubes, and reacting at a second temperature higher than the first temperature to reform methane (CH.sub.4) into synthesis gas containing hydrogen (H.sub.2) and carbon monoxide (CO), a combustion unit configured to supply heat to the plurality of first catalyst tubes and the plurality of second catalyst tubes, and a first distributor configured to connect the plurality of first catalyst tubes to each of the second catalyst tubes to distribute steam and gas discharged from the plurality of first catalyst tubes to the plurality of second catalyst tubes.
Method for preparing dispersed metal nanoparticles and metal nanoparticles prepared thereby
The present disclosure relates to a dispersed metal nanoparticle synthesis method and metal nanoparticles prepared thereby. Specifically, the present disclosure relates to a method of effectively preparing a dispersed metal nanoparticle using Taylor vortex flow even when using a small amount of stabilizer or using no stabilizer, and well-dispersed nanoparticles obtained thereby.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ESTERIFICATION REACTION
An esterification reaction apparatus and an esterification reaction method, the esterification reaction apparatus comprising a reaction tank having an accommodation part, in which a raw material containing carboxylic acid and alcohol is accommodated, a heating unit configured to individually heat partition regions that are partitioned into N regions in a vertical direction of the accommodation part, and a controller configured to control the heating unit so that only the partition regions in which a liquid is accommodated among the N partition regions are heated, thereby performing an esterification reaction of the raw material.
Integrated process for optimum production of para-xylene
A method of producing p-xylene comprising the steps of separating the reformate feed in the reformate splitter to produce a benzene stream, a combined heavy stream, a xylene stream, and a toluene stream, converting the C9+ aromatic hydrocarbons in the presence of a dealkylation catalyst in the dealkylation reactor to produce a dealkylation effluent, separating the dealkylation effluent in the dealkylation splitter to produce a C9 stream and a C10+ stream, reacting the C9 stream, the toluene stream, the benzene stream, and the hydrogen stream in the presence of a transalkylation catalyst in the transalkylation reactor to produce a transalkylation effluent, separating the p-xylenes from the xylene stream in the p-xylene separation unit to produce a p-xylene product and a p-xylene depleted stream, converting the m-xylene and o-xylene in the p-xylene depleted stream in the isomerization unit to produce an isomerization effluent.
Method of recycling carbon to a feedstock gas reactor
A method of using a feedstock gas reactor is described. A hydrocarbon, such as methane, is chemical decomposed in the feedstock gas reactor using heat of combustion generated from the combustion of a combustible gas. A mixed product stream is extracted from the feedstock gas reactor. The mixed product stream comprises hydrogen, carbon, and water. At least a portion of the one or more combustion product gases are vented from the combustion chamber. At least some of the carbon is activated using the vented one or more combustion product gases. At least some of the activated carbon is recycled to the feedstock gas reactor.
POLYMERISATION STATION FOR GRAFTING A BIOACTIVE COATING
An oxidation and grafting method for grafting a bioactive polymer, such as polyNaSS, onto an article, in particular a polymer or ceramic article. The method comprises a step of oxidation by ozonation and a step of grafting by radical polymerisation in a polymerisation station having a first reactor. The two steps of oxidation and grafting are carried out consecutively in different solutions in the reactor of the polymerisation station.
