SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING CHLORINE DIOXIDE
Systems and methods for producing chlorine dioxide in a two stage system and single stage system that provides high chlorate to chlorine dioxide efficiency with a compact design and low sulfuric acid requirements.
METHOD OF RECYCLING CARBON TO A FEEDSTOCK GAS REACTOR
A method of using a feedstock gas reactor is described. A hydrocarbon, such as methane, is chemical decomposed in the feedstock gas reactor using heat of combustion generated from the combustion of a combustible gas. A mixed product stream is extracted from the feedstock gas reactor. The mixed product stream comprises hydrogen, carbon, and water. At least a portion of the one or more combustion product gases are vented from the combustion chamber. At least some of the carbon is activated using the vented one or more combustion product gases. At least some of the activated carbon is recycled to the feedstock gas reactor.
APPARATUS OF MANUFACTURING INORGANIC MATERIAL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING INORGANIC MATERIAL
A blower (100) blows inert gas. A crusher (200) repeats vitrifying plural kinds of inorganic compounds (A1) by mechanical energy and blowing up the plural kinds of vitrified inorganic compounds (A1) by the inert gas blown from the blower (100). At least some of the plural kinds of inorganic compounds (A1) blown up by the inert gas enter into a first collector (300). The first collector (300) returns the at least some of the plural kinds of inorganic compounds to the crusher (200). A system (S) (for example, a pipe (Pa), a buffer tank (110), a pipe (Pb), a pipe (Pc), and a pipe (Pi) described below) circulates the inert gas from the blower (100) through the crusher (200) and the first collector (300) to the blower (100).
Metal supported powder catalyst matrix and processes for multiphase chemical reactions
A catalytic membrane composite that includes porous supported catalyst particles durably enmeshed in a porous fibrillated polymer membrane is provided. The porous fibrillated polymer membrane may be manipulated to take the form of a tube, disc, or diced tape and used in multiphase reaction systems. The supported catalyst particles are composed of at least one finely divided metal catalyst dispersed on a porous support substrate. High catalytic activity is gained by the effective fine dispersion of the finely divided metal catalyst such that the metal catalyst covers the support substrate and/or is interspersed in the pores of the support substrate. In some embodiments, the catalytic membrane composite may be introduced to a stirred tank autoclave reactor system, a continuous flow reactor system, or a Parr Shaker reaction system and used to effect the catalytic reaction.
Process for a continuous reaction with feedstocks derived from Bio-Renewable resources
A process for a continuous condensation reaction with feedstocks derived from bio-renewable resources, e.g., pine chemical derived feedstock, is disclosed. The process employs at least a multi-stage mixing reactor, selected from any of a multi-stage continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR), a multi-stage horizontal continuous stirred tank reactor (HCSTR), or a continuous oscillating baffle reactor (COBR). The multi-stage mixing reactors are provided with a plurality of baffles for creating a mixing in a number of stages or cells created by the baffles, allowing the condensation reaction to proceed at a production rate at least twice that of a batch process with reactors of equivalent volume. The feedstocks derived from bio-renewable resources is selected from gum rosin, wood rosin, tall oil rosin and mixtures thereof; and polymeric fatty acids derived from bio-renewable resources such as tall oil.
