Furniture with anti-tipping support hinge

Support hinge for a piece of furniture includes a mounting plate attachable to an underside of a bottom drawer of the piece of furniture, and a support plate hingedly connected to the mounting plate to enable the support plate to open rearward to an angle of greater than 90 degrees relative to the mounting plate. The support plate is biased into the open state and includes a drawer support portion that preferably contacts the underside of the bottom drawer when the support plate is in the open state. When the bottom drawer is open, the support plate is just above the floor below the piece of furniture and when a weight-derived force is exerted against the bottom drawer, the support plate is moved against the floor and in such a position, acts as a post to prevent forward tipping of the furniture beyond a nominal amount.

An apparatus for cleaning, storing or cooking items includes a housing formed by walls enclosing an internal space; at least one support arrangement removable from the housing; and at least one locking unit arranged at the support arrangement. The support arrangement includes at least one rail system having at least two rails connected together and moveable relative to each other and at least one support element. The locking unit includes at least one locking element which can be transferred between a blocking position and a free position, wherein, when the support arrangement is mounted to the housing, the locking unit is in its free state in which the locking element enables extension of the rail system. When the support arrangement is separated from the housing, the locking unit is in its blocking state in which the locking element blocks extension of the rail system with the formation of a positively locking relationship.

Drawer slide latching

A release mechanism for a drawer slide latch may include linearly translatable elements. The linearly translatable elements may cause rotation of a lever arm used in latching one drawer slide member to another. The linearly translatable elements may be coupled to a drawer, or be a component mounted to the drawer slide, in various embodiments.

STORAGE SYSTEM SUITABLE FOR INSTALLATION IN OR ON A VEHICLE

A storage system, comprising: a frame, the frame comprising two opposing frame side walls, a frame rear wall, a frame top wall and a frame base, which collectively define a drawer receiving space; the frame having a front opening; a drawer receivable in the drawer receiving space through the front opening; the drawer comprising first and second opposing drawer side walls, a drawer base, a drawer front wall and a drawer rear wall, which collectively define a drawer storage space, the drawer having a top opening for receiving contents into the drawer storage space; a drawer position retainer for releasably retaining the drawer in any one of at least two drawer positions relative to the frame, the at least two drawer positions comprising: a closed position, wherein the drawer is at least substantially received within the frame; and a partially open position, wherein the drawer is partially received within the frame; and an actuator mounted to or adjacent the drawer front wall for manually actuating the drawer position retainer.

DRAWER ASSEMBLY

A drawer assembly includes a member having a first locking element. A drawer includes a frame and a handle. The handle includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is coupled to the frame. The second portion is coupled to the first portion. A drawer release includes a first end and a second end. The drawer release is rotatably coupled to the drawer. The first end includes a second locking element. The second portion is rotatable relative to the first portion to move the drawer release from a first orientation in which the second locking element directly engages the first locking element to prevent the drawer from sliding relative to the member to a second orientation in which the second locking element is spaced apart from the first locking element to allow the drawer to slide relative to the member. Systems and methods of use are disclosed.
