A particulate material and a process for the production thereof are provided, which particulate material comprises zeolitic particles having a crystalline structure, which contain as the main component a zeolite material having a zeolitic framework structure formed from Si, O and optionally Al, and/or a zeolite-like material having a zeolitic framework structure which is formed not only from Si, O and optionally Al, wherein the zeolitic particles are in the form of essentially spherical particles with nanometer dimensions.
FUNCTIONAL STRUCTURE PRECURSOR AND FUNCTIONAL STRUCTURE
A functional structure which can prevent metal fine particles from aggregating, can suppress bonding of an active metal species and a support, and can easily undergo catalyst activation before being used for reactions. The functional structure includes supports each having a porous structure and including a zeolite-type compound, and at least one functional material precursor present in the supports and including a metal element (M), in which each of the supports has channels communicating with one another, the functional material precursor is present at least in the channel of each of the supports, and the metal element (M) having constituted the functional material precursor is partially substituted with an element having constituted the supports.

The present invention is related to a catalytic process, which includes catalytic compositions for depolymerisation and deoxygenation of lignin contained in the biomass for obtaining aromatic hydrocarbons. The catalytic composition consists of at least one non-noble element from group VIIIB of the periodic table supported on a mesoporous matrix composed of an inorganic oxide, which can be alumina surface-modified with a second inorganic oxide with the object of inhibiting the interaction between the active component and the support. The process of lignin depolymerisation consists of dissolving lignin in a mixture of protic liquids, reacting it|a reaction system by batch or in continuous flow at inert and/or reducing atmosphere, at a temperature of between 60 to 320° C. and a pressure of from 5 to 90 kg/cm.sup.2. When the reaction is developed into a batch system, oxygenated aromatic hydrocarbons are mainly produced, both by thermal as well as catalytic depolymerisation, whereas in a continuous flow reaction system, deoxygenated aromatic hydrocarbons are produced.
Anionic surfactants and detergents and cleaning agents containing same
An anionic surfactant of general formula (I) in which n and m are, independently of one another, numbers from 0 to 17 and 2<n+m<20, and X.sup.+ is a charge-balancing cation. The invention also relates to a production method by way of: the acid-catalysed reaction of 2,5-bis(hydroxymethyl) tetrahydrofuran with an alkene having 5 to 22 C atoms in equimolar amounts, at an increased temperature; subsequent sulphation with a sulphating agent; and optional neutralisation by a subsequent reaction with ##STR00001##
X.sup.+OH.sup.− or X.sup.+.sub.2 CO.sup.2−.sub.3, where X.sup.+ is an alkali metal cation or a group N.sup.+R.sup.1R.sup.2R.sup.3, in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are, independently of one another, hydrogen, an alkyl group with 1 to 6 C atoms, or a hydroxyalkyl group with 2 to 6 C atoms. Detergents or cleaning agents containing—the surfactant, and the use of same to improve the performance of the detergents or cleaning agents, are also disclosed.
Method of preparing silica supported CoMoS hydrodesulfurization catalysts
A method of preparing hydrodesulfurization catalysts having cobalt and molybdenum sulfide deposited on a support material containing mesoporous silica. The method utilizes a sulfur-containing silane that dually functions as a silica source and a sulfur precursor. The method involves an one-pot strategy for hydrothermal treatment and a single-step calcination and sulfidation procedure. The application of the hydrodesulfurization catalysts in treating a hydrocarbon feedstock containing sulfur compounds to produce a desulfurized hydrocarbon stream is also specified.
METHODS FOR PREPARING NANOTHERAPEUTIC COMPOSITIONS
A nanotherapeutic supported by a hierarchical silica composite with dual imaging capability (e.g. fluorescence and magnetic resonance imaging), a method of preparing the nanotherapeutic, and a method of treating cancer. Also disclosed is a method of oxidatively dehydrogenating ethane using a catalytic system supported by a hierarchical silica composite.
Method for desulfurization of a hydrocarbon composition
A robust catalyst useful for hydrodesulfurization (HDS) of sulfur-containing hydrocarbons such as sulfur-containing diesel fuel. The catalyst contains a modified mesoporous silica, such as SBA-15, Zr atoms, Ni, Mo, Ce atoms. A method for removing sulfur from a hydrocarbon, such as diesel fuel or a refinery feedstock using the catalyst. A one-pot method for making the catalyst.
Method of making a hydrodesulfurization catalyst with a structural directing surfactant
