A catalyst including platinum (Pt) and a composite support. The composite support includes ZrO.sub.2/mesoporous silica sieve SBA-15. The platinum accounts for 0.01-0.3 wt. % of the catalyst. ZrO.sub.2 accounts for 5-20 wt. % of the composite support.
HIERARCHICALLY ORDERED CRYSTALLINE MICROPOROUS MATERIALS WITH LONG-RANGE MESOPOROUS ORDER HAVING LAMELLAR SYMMETRY
A composition of matter is provided comprising hierarchically ordered crystalline microporous material having well-defined long-range mesoporous ordering of lamellar symmetry. The composition possesses mesopores having walls of crystalline microporous material and a mass of mesostructure between mesopores of crystalline microporous material. Long-range ordering is defined by presence of secondary peaks in an X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern and/or lamellar symmetry observable by microscopy.
NANOTHERAPEUTIC AND A METHOD OF OXIDATIVE DEHYDROGENATION BUILT ON HIERACHICAL SILICA COMPOSITES
A nanotherapeutic supported by a hierarchical silica composite with dual imaging capability (e.g. fluorescence and magnetic resonance imaging), a method of preparing the nanotherapeutic, and a method of treating cancer. Also disclosed is a method of oxidatively dehydrogenating ethane using a catalytic system supported by a hierarchical silica composite.
Olefin metathesis reaction catalyst and preparation method therefor
The present invention relates to an olefin metathesis reaction catalyst where rhenium (Re) oxide or molybdenum (Mo) oxide is supported, as a catalyst main component, on a surface-modified mesoporous silica or mesoporous alumina support, and a preparation method therefor. The olefin metathesis reaction catalyst of the present invention allows highly efficient metathesis of long-chain unsaturated hydrocarbons having at least eight carbons at a low temperature of 150 C. or lower. The catalyst can be separated readily from reaction solution, regenerated at a low temperature of 400 C. or lower by removing toxins accumulated on it during the metathesis reaction, and used repeatedly in metathesis reaction many times, thereby being made good use in commercial olefin metathesis processes.
Cationic polymers and porous materials
According to one or more embodiments, a mesoporous zeolite may included a microporous framework that includes a plurality of micropores having diameters of less than or equal to 2 nm, and a plurality of mesopores having diameters of greater than 2 nm and less than or equal to 50 nm. The mesoporous zeolite may included an aluminosilicate material, a titanosilicate material, or a pure silicate material. The mesoporous zeolite may included a surface area of greater than 350 m.sup.2/g and a pore volume of greater than 0.3 cm.sup.3/g.
In-situ trim coke selectivation of toluene disproportionation catalyst
The invention relates to treating a molecular sieve prepared by at least one in situ selectivation sequence wherein graphitic coke is adhered to said molecular sieve, which is useful in a toluene disproportionation process.
In-situ trim coke selectivation of toluene disproportionation catalyst
The invention relates to treating a molecular sieve prepared by at least one in situ selectivation sequence wherein graphitic coke is adhered to said molecular sieve, which is useful in a toluene disproportionation process.
Process for the synthesis of hydrocarbons from synthesis gas in the presence of a catalyst based on cobalt trapped in a mesoporous oxide matrix and obtained from at least one monomeric precursor
A process for the synthesis of linear paraffinic hydrocarbons from a feed of carbon monoxide and dihydrogen in the presence of a catalyst of a mesoporous oxide matrix and a content by weight of the element cobalt of 0.5% to 60%, wherein the catalyst is prepared by a) mixing, in an aqueous or hydro-organic solvent, a molecular precursor containing cobalt and a molecular precursor of the mesoporous oxide matrix containing element X of silicon, aluminium, titanium, zirconium and or cerium; b) aerosol spray drying the mixture to form spherical liquid droplets; c) drying to obtain solid particles at a temperature of 10 C. to 300 C.; d) activation by a reduction treatment to form nanoparticles of cobalt with an oxidation state of 0.
Apparatus of manufacturing mesoporous silica and method of manufacturing mesoporous silica using the same
An apparatus and a method of manufacturing mesoporous silica are provided. The apparatus includes a mount, a reactor rotatably coupled to the mount, in which mixed solution of surfactant, water and acid is to be poured, an impeller installed to the reactor and rotating to stir the mixed solution, and a heating unit installed to cover an outer surface of the reactor thereby heating the reactor.
SUPPORTED CORE-SHELL BIMETALLIC CATALYST WITH HIGH SELECTIVITY FOR PROPANE DEHYDROGENATION
A supported core-shell bimetallic catalyst with high selectivity for propane dehydrogenation, containing platinum (Pt) as active species, 3d transition metals (Fe, Co and Ni) as promoters and SBA-15 as support. The addition of 3d metals and the formation of Pt3d alloys in subsurface result in a core-shell bimetallic catalyst which promotes the propene selectivity by decreasing the d-band center of surface Pt atoms and facilitating the desorption of propene on Pt. In another aspect, the reduced usage of Pt is achieved with the addition of 3d transition metals as well as the increased utilization of Pt atoms. The catalyst can be effectively used as a catalyst for the preparation of propene by propane dehydrogenation and 85% of propene selectivity can be achieved in propane dehydrogenation.
