Sugar ester peracid on site generator and formulator
Methods and systems for on-site generation of peracid chemistry, namely peroxycarboxylic acids and peroxycarboxylic acid forming compositions, are disclosed. In particular, an adjustable biocide formulator or generator system is designed for on-site generation of peroxycarboxylic acids and peroxycarboxylic acid forming compositions from sugar esters. Methods of using the in situ generated peroxycarboxylic acids and peroxycarboxylic acid forming compositions are also disclosed.
FLEXIBLE CHEMICAL PRODUCTION PLATFORM
Disclosed are integrated systems and methods for the conversion of epoxides to beta lactones and to multiple C.sub.3 products and/or C.sub.4 products.
System and method to produce hydrogen
The present disclosure is directed to a hydrogen production system for creating and extracting hydrogen gas. The hydrogen production system contains a reactor vessel into which a solution and a metallic or semi-metal material may be placed. The solution is added to the reactor vessel contains both water and a caustic. When contacting the metallic or semi-metal material within the reactor vessel a chemical reaction occurs. The chemical reaction creates hydrogen gas as well as heat and other byproducts. The hydrogen gas may then flow through a hydrogen extraction point located on the reactor vessel for collection or operational use.
Continuous on-line adjustable disinfectant/sanitizer/bleach generator
Methods and systems for on-site, continuous generation of peracid chemistry, namely peroxycarboxylic acids and peroxycarboxylic acid forming compositions, are disclosed.
Method For Controlling The Production of a Biocide
A method and apparatus for producing a biocide from a hypochlorite oxidant and an ammonium salt are provided. The method includes monitoring a control parameter to optimize the ratio between the hypochlorite oxidant and the ammonium salt. The control parameter may be oxidation-reduction potential, conductivity, induction or oxygen saturation.
Liquid-Solid Sampling System for a Loop Slurry Reactor
Polymerization reactor systems providing integrated liquid-solid sampling systems are disclosed. Methods for operating such polymerization reactor systems and for measuring a property of the liquid portion of liquid-solid mixture are described.
EFFICIENT CIRCUIT IN PULSED ELECTRICAL DISCHARGE PROCESSING
Disclosed are example efficient circuits that produce spark discharges for hydrocarbon conversion (or treatment of other mixtures) using a high-voltage rectified DC supply to discharge a capacitor (either internal or external) across a two-electrode gap, optimized to minimize waste energy by operating in a constant current, approximately-constant current, or constant power mode. The circuits may operate off of a standard electrical supply line (e.g. 120 VAC or 240 VAC, 60 Hz, single-phase or multi-phase). The disclosed approach is scalable to any number of discharge gaps while maintaining similar pulse characteristics and electrical efficiency.
Liquid-solid sampling system for a loop slurry reactor
Polymerization reactor systems providing integrated liquid-solid sampling systems are disclosed. Methods for operating such polymerization reactor systems and for measuring a property of the liquid portion of liquid-solid mixture are described.
BIOFUEL POWER GENERATION SYSTEMS
An integrated modular biomass to electric power generation system is disclosed. The system comprises various subsystem modules including components which may be prefabricated and mounted on separate and portable self-supporting liftable platforms in a factory controlled environment. The modules may include biomass to biofuel conversion and refinement process related modules and power generation modules. The modules may be transported from the factory to a power generation site, which in some non-limiting examples may comprise part of an agricultural or farming site that produces animal and/or agricultural wastes which may be converted to biofuel. The modules are positioned on site and fluidly coupled together to form a complete biofuel powered electric generation system. A plurality of standardized size subsystem modules of several different process or electrical capacities may be provided for selection to form the complete system. The system may include a biogas production process, biodiesel production process, or both.
Hydrogen generation apparatus, fuel cell system including the same, method of operating hydrogen generation apparatus and method of operating fuel cell system
A hydrogen generation apparatus according to the present invention includes: a reformer configured to generate a hydrogen-containing gas through a reforming reaction; a combustor configured to heat the reformer; an air supply device configured to supply air to the combustor; a fuel supply device configured to supply a fuel to the combustor; a CO detector configured to detect a carbon monoxide concentration in a flue gas discharged from the combustor; and a controller configured to control at least one of the air supply device and the fuel supply device to increase an air ratio in the combustor such that the CO concentration in the flue gas increases, and then test the CO detector for abnormality.
