Hydroxypropionic acid, hydroxypropionic acid derivatives, or mixtures thereof are dehydrated using a catalyst and a method to produce bio-acrylic acid, acrylic acid derivatives, or mixtures thereof. A method to produce the dehydration catalyst is also provided.
Methods and related tools for CBD conversion to THC
The present invention is directed to methods of producing THC from CBD utilizing non-harsh methodology and resulting in substantially increased yields, as well as devices built upon these novel methods. The methods and devices are material efficient, and in certain embodiments, solvent-free. In particular, in certain embodiments, these methods and related devices are suitable for commercial production of THC from CBD. Furthermore, in certain embodiments, the present invention provides methods of producing THC from CBD in manner that affords tunability to select the ratio of THC-8 to THC-9.
Mesoporous framework-modified zeolites
Compositions and methods for preparing mesoporous and/or mesostructured materials from low Si/Al zeolites. Various embodiments described herein relate to preparation of mesoporous and/or mesostructured zeolites via a framework modification step followed by a mesopore introduction step.
SOLID CATALYST FOR HYDRIDE ISOMERIZATION REACTION IN AN AQUEOUS MEDIUM
A novel catalyst capable of selectively catalyzing conversion from glucose to fructose in water or in an aqueous solution is provided. The catalyst is a solid catalyst for a hydride isomerization reaction from glucose to fructose performed in water or in an aqueous solution, comprising a group 13 element oxide whose surface has been subjected to a phosphoric acid treatment.
METHOD FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF SUPPORTED GOLD (AU) NANOPARTICLES FOR EPOXIDATION REACTIONS
Processes for preparing supported gold nanoparticle catalysts are provided. In an exemplary embodiment, the process includes adding a solution of a phosphorus compound to a solution of chloro (dimethyl sulfide) gold (I) to obtain a solution of chloro (phosphorus compound) gold (I) complex, adding the solution of chloro (phosphorus compound) gold (I) complex to a solution of silver nitrate to obtain a solution of nitro (phosphorus compound) gold (I) complex, applying the solution of nitro (phosphorus compound) gold (I) complex to a metal hydroxide support, drying the metal hydroxide support; and calcining the dried metal hydroxide support to form the supported gold nanoparticle catalyst. Supported gold nanoparticle catalysts prepared by the process and processes for oxidizing ethylene to ethylene oxide in the presence of the supported gold nanoparticle catalysts are also provided.
CIT-10: A TWO DIMENSIONAL LAYERED CRYSTALLINE MICROPOROUS SILICATE COMPOSITION AND COMPOSITIONS DERIVED THEREFROM
This disclosure relates to a new crystalline microporous silicate solid, designated CIT-10, comprising a two dimensional layered structure, having an organic interlayer sandwiched between individual crystalline silicate layers. This CIT-10 material can be converted to a pure-silicate of RTH topology, as well as two new of pillared silicate structures, designated CIT-11 and CIT-12. This disclosure characterizes new materials and provides methods of preparing and using these new crystalline microporous solids.
Hydrolysis of an ester compound
The present invention concerns a process to carry out an ester hydrolysis wherein the ester compound (c) is made from at least an alcohol (a) and a carboxylic acid (b), and wherein said alcohol (a) and said carboxylic acid (b) are forming a biphasic liquid system when mixed together; comprising at least a step of producing an ester compound (c)/water emulsion by using as stabilizing species amphiphilic solid particles of nanometric dimension and optionally a catalyst X.
Germanosilicate CIT-14/IST and its preparation from germanosilicate CIT-13/OH
The present disclosure is directed to large-pore germanosilicate compositions designated CIT-13/OH and CIT-14/IST, the two large-pore germanosilicate each having a three-dimensional framework with 10- and 14-membered ring channels and 8- and 12-membered ring channels, respectively. The disclosure also sets forth methods for converting the former to the latter under conditions consistent with an inverse sigma transformation. Uses of the large-pore germanosilicate compositions are also disclosed.
Crystalline zeolite-type material
The present invention relates to a microporous material of the zeolite type, known as IDM-1, the method for preparing same, and applications thereof. Said material may be entirely silicon-based or may include different elements at either the reticular or non-reticular positions. The present invention falls within the fields of crystalline silicas, zeolites and catalysts.
