REAGENT CONTAINER AND TISSUE PROCESSOR
A reagent container for a tissue processor includes a first body defining a cavity configured to contain reagent; and a second body attached to the first body, wherein the second body defines a reagent passage, a cistern room and an reagent port, the reagent passage is in communication with the cavity, the cistern room is provided between the reagent passage and the reagent port and in communication with the reagent passage and the reagent port; in a flowing direction towards the reagent port, the cistern room has a larger section area than a section area of the reagent passage. The reagent coming out of the reagent passage will significantly slow down in a short time and will not spill out of the reagent container through the reagent port, thereby improving anti-spilling performance of the reagent container during transportation or operation of the reagent container.
CONTAINER, FLUID HANDLING DEVICE, AND FREEZE-DRYING METHOD
A container of the present invention is for producing or housing a freeze-dried material. The container includes a bottom wall, a side wall, a support part for supporting a fluid to be freeze-dried in such a way that the fluid does not contact the bottom wall; and at least one vent disposed in the bottom wall or in at least a portion of the side wall located below the top of the support part.
METHOD FOR QUALITATIVE AND/OR QUANTITATIVE DETECTION OF SUBSTANCES CONTAINED IN A HEMP PLANT AND KIT FOR USE THEREIN
The present invention relates to a kit comprising: a) an ampoule; b) a material comprising a hemp plant or parts thereof; and c) a color indicator capable of reacting by contacting the hemp plant and/or at least a part thereof to change the color of the color indicator, wherein the material and the color indicator are disposed in the ampoule; and a method for qualitatively and/or quantitatively detecting one or more substance(s) contained in the hemp plant using the kit.
System and method for charging fluids
Devices, systems, and methods for charging fluids are disclosed. The charging of fluids improves the mixing of fluids in microfluidic systems. The charging is performed by producing an ion field between an ionizing electrode and an opposed ground electrode. A fluid-containing vessel is positioned between the opposed electrodes and the ion field charges the fluid in the vessel.
Microfluidic chip, head, and dispensing device for dispensing fluids containing an acidic component
A microfluidic ejection chip includes a silicon substrate having a fluid passageway. The fluid passageway is defined by a silicon sidewall of the silicon substrate that is covered by a permanent passivation layer to protect the silicon sidewall from exposure to an acidic fluid. The permanent passivation layer is retained on the silicon sidewall at a conclusion of etching of the silicon substrate to form the fluid passageway.
Reservoir with variable radius fillet
A slot extender includes a reservoir. The reservoir includes a reservoir floor defining a drain opening, a continuous reservoir sidewall extending from the reservoir floor, and a concave fillet running along at least a portion where the reservoir sidewall joins the reservoir floor. The concave fillet has a variable radius.
Encapsulated reagents and methods of use
The present invention contemplates use of encapsulated aqueous and non-aqueous reagents, solutions and solvents and their use in laboratory procedures. These encapsulated aqueous or non-aqueous reagents, solutions and solvents can be completely contained or encapsulated in microcapsules or nanocapsules that can be added to an aqueous or non-aqueous carrier solution or liquid required for medical and research laboratory testing of biological or non-biological specimens.
Pump-less method and apparatus for solvent extraction from a sample
Apparatus for extracting organic analytes from a sample comprising a first compressed gas source connected to valving and a sample extraction cell connected to the valving. A pressure regulator is connected to the extraction cell outlet to the pressure regulator. The pressure regulator blocks fluid flow when the pressure at the pressure regulator inlet is below a predetermined pressure and permits fluid flow when above said predetermined pressure. The apparatus is free of operative association with a mechanical pump or with a compressed gas source other than the compressed gas source. An extraction method for using the above apparatus is described.
MOBILE DEVICE BASED MULTI-ANALYTE TESTING ANALYZER FOR USE IN MEDICAL DIAGNOSTIC MONITORING AND SCREENING
A mobile device based multi-analyte testing analyzer for use in medical diagnostic monitoring and screening, and a method of manufacturing the same are disclosed. A reflectance based, colorimetric test strip reader for use with a mobile device having a jack plug receiving socket, said test strip reader adapted for removably receiving a test strip having a test strip longitudinal axis, comprising a housing; a jack plug operably coupled to and extending from said housing and adapted for operable coupling with said jack plug receiving socket; a test strip adapter including structure defining a test strip receiving channel; a light source oriented within said housing for directing light toward said test strip receiving channel to illuminate a test strip arranged within said test strip adapter; and a light sensor oriented within said housing to sense light reflected from a test strip carried by said test strip receiving channel.
Reagent Carrier Unit, Adapter and Method for Handling a Reagent Carrier Unit
Reagent carrier unit comprising a coupling section for releasable coupling with a pipetting arm coupling section of a pipetting means of a laboratory robot (1) or with a pipetting tip (19) of a pipetting means of a laboratory robot (1).
