This disclosure provides a sample rack, a sample access kit and a sample access system. The sample rack comprises: a rack body for placing a sample container; a position collector configured to acquire a position of the sample container placed on the rack body; and a communicator configured to transmit identification information of the sample rack and the acquired position of the sample container on the rack body. The sample access kit comprises the above-described sample rack and a sample container having an identification disposed thereon. The sample access system comprises the above-described sample access kit and a mobile terminal.
MANAGING CONTAINERS IN A MEDICAL DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM
An example medical diagnostic system includes one or more containers that are usable in a medical diagnostic test. Each container has an identification (ID) tag associated therewith. An ID tag of a container includes memory that is readable and writeable. The memory is for storing information relating to the container. Antennas are configured to communicate wirelessly with ID tags associated with the one or more containers. A control system is configured to store a location of the container based on an identify of the antenna, to select the antenna for communication with the ID tag, and to use the antenna to read at least some of the information from, or to write at least some of the information to, the memory on the ID tag.
SYSTEM, METHOD AND INTERFACE FOR PARALLEL PROCESSING OF ANTIMICROBIAL SUSCEPTIBILITY TESTS USING DIFFERENT SAMPLES
An improved system, method and interface for automated rapid antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) is disclosed which includes, in one aspect, a carrier population station comprising a workstation having a graphic user interface (GUI). The GUI accepts information from a lab technologist, including information related to a scope of testing to be performed on a microorganism containing sample. The GUI controls intelligent assignment of microorganism containing samples to test panels in a manner that maximize utilization of the test carrier by grouping together samples of similar tests scopes and advantageously testing those samples using one multiplexed test panel. Customizing workflow in accordance with test scope to facilitate parallel processing of multiple samples advantageously reduces laboratory waste, decreases test latencies, increases AST system throughput and efficiency, and thus lowers the costs to the AST lab.
LABORATORY SYSTEM
A laboratory system, comprising: at least one rack comprising retainers, wherein the rack is adapted to carry laboratory sample containers inserted in the retainers, a handling device, wherein the handling device is adapted to insert sample containers in the retainers or remove containers from the retainers being placed at a processing position depending on location information indicating the location of the rack being placed at the processing position relative to the handling device, a plurality of teaching devices, wherein a respective teaching device is insertable into a retainer of the rack, and wherein at least two teaching devices are inserted into a corresponding retainer of the rack being placed at the processing position, and a location information calculating device, wherein the calculating device is adapted to calculate the location information of the rack being placed at the processing position depending on the location of the at least two teaching devices.
INTEGRATED CONSUMABLE DATA MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND PLATFORM
The present disclosure relates to an automated assay system adapted to receive consumables in the conduct of an assay. The assay system includes at least one of a loading cart, a door support system, a waste storage unit, and a robotic subsystem. The loading cart is configured to organize and transport consumables necessary for the performance of the assay system. The door support system is configured to maintain stability of doors of the automated assay system. The waste storage unit is configured to provide convenient disposal of consumables associated with the automated assay system. The robotic subsystem is configured to transport consumables within the automated assay system.
ANALYSIS DEVICE AND ANALYSIS METHOD
A signal processing circuit uses gate signals corresponding to a plurality of divided measurement ranges to extract a fine particle pulse signal from a light reception level signal generated by an optical pickup, count the pulse number for each of the gate signals, and output a count value for each of the divided measurement ranges. A count value in-plane distribution generating unit generates count value in-plane distribution data in a measurement range based on the count value. A reaction region position coordinate computation unit estimates positions of all reaction regions from the count value in-plane distribution data. A reaction region count value computation unit calculates the count values for each of all the estimated reaction regions.
Demarcation template for hazardous contaminant testing
Aspects of the disclosure relate to demarcation templates for demarcating a test area on a test surface and for providing visual guidance to a user to precisely and accurately swab the test surface in order to determine the presence and/or concentration of an analyte of interest on the test surface. In one aspect, the analyte of interest is a hazardous contaminant. Some templates can include alignment markings around the border demarcating the test area to provide such guidance to users, and can include graphical use instructions on a removable central portion of the template. The template can be adhesive to be securely fixed to the test surface for accurate demarcation of the test area throughout sampling.
Dilution calibration
The present disclosure provides devices, systems, and methods, for performing biological and chemical assays.
COATING PROCESS FOR MICROFLUIDIC SAMPLE ARRAYS
A method of registering a location of a dispenser array in relation to a microfluidic array is provided. One of the dispenser array and the microfluidic array can be movable in relation to the frame, and the other can be fixed relative to the frame. Their relative positions can be identified by a set of coordinates. Identification of a fiducial marker can occur in a manner permitting the fiducial reference to appear in a first position of a field of view of a first camera when the dispenser array or the microfluidic array is in an alignment position. Quantities related to a vector displacement from the alignment position to a fixed position on the microfluidic array or the dispenser array can be identified. Quantities determined can be used to guide positioning of the dispenser array relative to the microfluidic array.
