Centrifuge with drainage
A centrifuge for cleaning a reaction vessel unit comprises a rotor and a rotor chamber in which the rotor is positioned and supported in rotary fashion. The rotor chamber is delimited by a housing having a drainage channel beneath the rotor. Adjacent to the channel, the inner surface of the housing is embodied in the form of a funnel that feeds into the channel. This centrifuge does not require a suction pump for suctioning liquids from the rotor chamber. In addition, the centrifuge can be provided with an exchangeable module that delimits the rotor chamber and includes the rotor. The exchangeable module can be exchanged after a predetermined amount of use and replaced with another. It is also possible, however, for the module to be removed from the centrifuge, cleaned, and reinserted.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR PATCH CLAMP MEASUREMENT TECHNIQUES
Devices and methods for detecting one or more characteristics of cells with patch clamp electrodes, wherein the used patch clamp electrodes are cleaned by application of ultrasonic vibrations.
Automatic Analyzer
The object of the invention is to avoid a decrease in dispensing accuracy of a sample, a reagent, or the like as a temperature changes. In an automatic analyzer, a dispensing nozzle sucks the sample from a sample container holding the sample and discharges the sample to a reaction container. A syringe pump controls an amount of change in a volume of water. A first pipe connects the dispensing nozzle and the syringe pump. An electromagnetic valve flows or stops the water. A second pipe connects the electromagnetic valve and the syringe pump. A branch pipe branches the water. A third pipe connects the electromagnetic valve and the branch pipe. A case accommodates at least the syringe pump, the first pipe, the electromagnetic valve, the second pipe, the branch pipe, and the third pipe. Further, the third pipe includes a heat exchange unit that performs heat exchange of the water.
PLATFORM FOR ROBOTIC MICRO-EXPERIMENTATION OF SOLUTION-PROCESSED MATERIALS AND DEVICES
The present subject matter relates to systems and methods for the formulation of inks from stock solutions in which a liquid handler is configured to draw samples from a plurality of solution components and mix the components together to create one or more ink formulations, and a dispensing robot is configured to transfer the one or more ink formulations to a common substrate to form one or more material samples or a coating element in communication with the liquid handler is configured to transfer the one or more ink formulations to a common substrate to form one or more material samples. A controller in communication with each of the liquid handler and the dispensing robot can be configured to coordinate the creation and transfer of the one or more ink formulations. In addition, the one or more material samples can be analyzed using one or more characterization instrument configured to characterize the material samples on the common substrate.
Nucleic acid analysis apparatus using cartridge
The present disclosure relates to a nucleic acid analysis apparatus using a cartridge which can simplify the nucleic acid extraction and applicable to a molecular diagnostic POCT equipment. The nucleic acid analysis device includes a stage on which a cartridge is mountable, a nucleic acid extraction unit, and a control unit. The nucleic acid extraction unit performs a nucleic acid extraction through crushing of the sample, the cell disruption, and the nucleic acid purification as well as a nucleic acid amplification. The control unit controls the stage and the nucleic acid extraction unit so that the nucleic acid extraction through the crushing of the sample, the cell disruption, and the nucleic acid purification as well as the nucleic acid amplification are collectively performed.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO REDUCE BIOLOGICAL CARRYOVER USING INDUCTION HEATING
Methods and apparatus to reduce biological carryover using induction heating are disclosed herein. An example method includes washing an aspiration and dispense device. The example method includes generating an alternating electromagnetic field and introducing the aspiration and dispense device into the alternating electromagnetic field. The example method includes inductively heating the aspiration and dispense device with the alternating electromagnetic field. In the example method, the washing is to occur in concert with the heating.
CALCIUM ION CONCENTRATION MEASURING DEVICE
The present claimed invention provides a calcium ion concentration measuring device that can measure a concentration of a calcium ion in blood of a domestic animal with high accuracy without being affected by temperature on the spot where the blood is collected. The calcium ion concentration measuring device is a portable one for measuring the concentration of the calcium ion in the blood of the domestic animal, and comprises a responsive membrane that selectively reacts with the calcium ion, an internal liquid stored in a space separated from the outside by the responsive membrane, and an internal electrode arranged to be in contact with the internal liquid, and the isothermal intersection point of the internal liquid is set within a range of the concentration of the calcium ion contained in the blood of the domestic animal.
Automatic analyzer and cleaning method
The invention provides a highly reliable automatic analyzer and dispenser probe cleaning method that allows for the removal of leftover cleaning water from the outer wall surfaces of a probe without increasing the size of a cleaning bath and contaminating the outer wall surfaces of the probe. A cleaning bath 113 (108, 106) comprises: a cleaning water outlet 203 for discharging into the cleaning bath 113 (108, 116) the cleaning water supplied from a cleaning water supply mechanism 123; and a compressed air outlet 204, disposed on the trajectory of the cleaning water discharged from the cleaning water outlet 203, for discharging the compressed air supplied from a compressed air supply mechanism 124 toward a sample probe 111b or a reagent probe 120 inserted in the cleaning bath 113 (108, 106).
