A method and an apparatus for thermal processing of nucleic acid in a thermal profile. The method employs at least a first bath and a second bath, the method further employing a reactor holder for holding reactor(s) accommodating reaction material containing the nucleic acid. The method includes maintaining bath mediums in the baths at two different temperatures; and alternately allowing the reactor(s) to be in the two baths in a plurality of thermal cycles to alternately attain a predetermined high target temperature T.sub.HT, and a predetermined low target temperature T.sub.LT, wherein the bath medium in at least one of the baths is a high thermal conductivity powder.

INTERCONNECTION OF LABORATORIES AND CLEANROOMS

An interconnection system for providing a sealed walkway between laboratories or cleanrooms includes a first connection seal configured to couple to a first mobile or modular unit and a second connection seal configured to couple to a second mobile or modular unit. The first and second connection seals provides an airtight connection between the first mobile or modular unit and the second mobile or modular unit. Each connection seal includes a channel for coupling to a mobile or modular unit and a gasket positioned within the channel. The gasket may include a stationary end positioned within the channel and an expandable end that is expandable to make contact with an expandable end of another connection seal to provide the airtight connection between the mobile or modular units. The interconnection system may further include a connection bridge that couples to a gasket on each end to provide the airtight connection.

DEVICE FOR MANAGING SAMPLES IN SAMPLE CONTAINERS UNDER VACUUM
