Insulating material with renewable resource component
An insulated cabinet structure includes an inner liner having a plurality of walls defining a refrigerator compartment, and an external wrapper having a plurality of walls defining a refrigerator compartment receiving area. An insulation gap is formed between the walls of the inner liner and the walls of the external wrapper. A first insulation material is positioned on a wall of the external wrapper and extends outwardly into the insulation gap to partially fill the insulation gap. The first insulation material includes a renewable resource component having a particle size in a range from about 10 microns to about 25 microns. A second insulation material is disposed in the insulation gap, such that the first insulation material and the second insulation material together substantially fill the insulation gap.
Door guide assembly and refrigerator having the same
An integral door guide assembly is removably coupled in an opening of a door of a refrigerator and has an adjustable height. The refrigerator includes a first door rotatably connected to a front surface of a main body, and having an opening in which a plurality of door guide assemblies can be arranged, and a second door rotatably connected to a front surface of the first door. The door guide assembly includes a door guide, a guide removably fixed on both side walls of the opening, a moving unit removably coupled with both side walls of the door guide, guided by the guide to move in an up-down direction, a stopper coupled with the guide, and caught by or released from the catching projections to adjust a position of the moving unit and a latch configured to fix the stopper released from the catching projections.
Refrigerator and manufacturing method thereof
A refrigerator and a manufacturing method thereof including processes of separately manufacturing partitions dividing a storage space into a plurality of storage chambers from a main body including an inner casing and an outer casing, coupling the partitions to an inner surface of the inner casing, filling a space between the inner casing and the partitions with an insulator, and filling the partitions with the insulator by filling a space between the inner casing and the outer casing with the insulator. Since the insulator uniformly fills the partitions dividing the storage space into the plurality of storage chambers, the partitions may possess improved insulating qualities.
Modular furniture unit having power distribution
A modular furniture unit can be configured to provide power distribution in conjunction with other furniture features. Embodiments of furniture arrangements may utilize one or more modular furniture units to provide one or more of such features (e.g. storage, seating, privacy, work surface, lighting, etc.). In some embodiments, the modular furniture unit includes an elongated upper member having an upper slot that has a first end and a second end opposite its first end. At least one leg is attached to the first end and at least one leg is attached to the second end. The elongated upper member may have a channel through which power cabling passes and outlets that are connected to such cabling. Different elements can be connected to the upper member via the upper slot or a downward facing opening of the upper member and/or to the legs to provide different furniture arrangements.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REDUCING AIR LOSSES IN REFRIGERATED CASES
A refrigerated display case includes a frame, a door, and a lateral flow barrier. The frame includes a first mullion and a second mullion. The frame defines a common refrigerated zone. The door is hingedly mounted to the first mullion. The door is configured to selectively interface with the second mullion. The lateral flow barrier is coupled to one of the first mullion and the second mullion. The lateral flow barrier extends into the common refrigerated zone. The lateral flow barrier partially separates the common refrigerated zone into an first sub-compartment proximate the door and bounded by the lateral flow barrier and an second sub-compartment opposite the first sub-compartment. The lateral flow barrier is not thermally insulating.
Refrigerator
Disclosed is a refrigerator an outer case, an inner case including storage spaces integrally manufactured so as to have a first set value, a barrier disposed within the storage space to vertically divide the storage space into a plurality of storage chambers so that the heights of openings of the respective storage chambers have a second set value and a third set value, and including first communication parts on the side surfaces of the barrier, second communication parts formed on the inner case, and a foamed heat insulating material filling the inside of the barrier by causing a foaming liquid, injected from the outer case, to pass through the second communication parts and the first communication parts and then foaming the foaming liquid within the barrier, wherein the first set value is 1.5 times or more at least one of the second set value and the third set value.
Horizontal flipper mullion incorporated within a false mullion of an appliance
An appliance includes a cabinet having outer walls that define a portion of a contact surface. Operable panels are engaged with the cabinet and operate between closed and open positions. A lateral mullion is pivotally attached to a mullion panel of the plurality of operable panels and is operable between contact and tucked positions. When the mullion panel is in the closed position, an outer surface of the lateral mullion is in the vertically pointed contact position and defines a portion of the contact surface to receive a seal of the mullion panel and selectively receive a seal of a vertically adjacent panel. Movement of the mullion panel to the open position rotates the lateral mullion about a horizontal axis to define the tucked position such that the mullion panel can move to the open position free of operation of the vertically adjacent panel.
Refrigerator
Provided is a refrigerator. The refrigerator includes: a cabinet including an outer case, an inner case disposed inside the outer case and defining a storage space, and an insulating material filled between the outer case and the inner case; a door pivotably connected to a front surface of the cabinet and selectively opening/closing a storage compartment; a shelf assembly including a shelf supporting arm fixed to a real surface of the inner case and a shelf connected to the shelf supporting arm so as to be slidably movable; and a withdrawal device connected to the door and withdrawing the shelf forward in accordance with pivoting of the door for opening the storage space. Here, the withdrawal device includes: a slide member held in a space between the outer case and the inner case; a link member including a front end portion connected to the door and a rear end portion connected to the slide member; and a connection member connecting the slide member and the shelf.
Refrigerator
A refrigerator includes a mid-frame positioned on a front surface of the main body wall and a heater configured to heat the mid-frame and provided at the mid-frame. The mid-frame includes a front frame provided to cover at least a part of a front surface of the at least one inner box configured to form the main body wall, and an extension frame formed to extend rearward from the front frame and including an edge portion in which an end portion of the extension frame has a thickness greater than that of an adjacent extension frame.
