20170290422 · 2017-10-12 ·

A kitchen workspace and a method of organizing a kitchen workspace is set forth. The kitchen workspace is consolidated into a small footprint area with automated vertical storage shelves for storing and housing kitchen items and kitchen appliances. The automated storage shelves may be provided with electrical power for powering kitchen appliances found on the shelves. Kitchen appliances may be rotated around the automated storage shelves while the appliances are being used. A user of the kitchen workspace is able to stand in a fixed position and access all kitchen items and appliances without moving from the fixed standing position.

This invention relates generally to a modular countertop system. In one embodiment, a countertop system includes, but is not limited to, a first countertop section composed of a foam core at least partly covered by a laminate layer; a plurality of interconnection receptacles embedded within the foam core; and a plurality of cut-line indications on a bottom surface of the first countertop section at positions that correspond to the plurality of interconnection receptacles embedded within the foam core, wherein cutting of the first countertop section along any of the plurality of cut-line indications exposes at least one of the plurality of interconnection receptacles.

Laminated countertop assembly

A laminated countertop assembly can include a first generally longitudinal slab with a first substrate, where the first substrate has lamination on a countertop side of the first substrate and lamination on an edge side of the first substrate that extends along a first portion of a length of the edge side of the first substrate. The first substrate can also include a first miter cut angled into the first substrate and slots extending into the first substrate for receiving biscuits. The laminated countertop assembly can also include a second generally longitudinal slab with a second substrate, where the second substrate has lamination on a countertop side of the second substrate and lamination on an edge side of the second substrate. The second substrate can also include a second miter cut at a corner of the second substrate and slots extending into the second substrate for receiving the biscuits.

Cabinet

A cabinet having a front part, which closes access to the inner region of the cabinet and is mounted movably relative to the cabinet carcass, and supporting inner or side walls or a side cheek arranged vertically in relation to the floor on which the item of furniture is standing. An access opening is formed between the front part and the side cheek, between the front part and at least one further front part, or between the front part and an upper side, which is formed as a table top. A profile is arranged to the rear of the access opening such that it is impossible to see into the inner region of the cabinet through the access opening, the profile having a first part and a second part, each having a face visible through the access opening, the visible faces arranged such that a shadow gap is formed therebetween.

PLATFORM HAVING ADJUSTABLY POSITIONABLE IMMOBILIZERS
20220202183 · 2022-06-30 ·

A platform having a plurality of specialized openings shaped to accept specialized pegs to act as immobilizers for objects to be placed on the platform. The pegs have a shaft and at least one pair of nubs protruding from the shaft of each peg. The openings are shaped to allow the first end of the shaft to pass therethrough but not the nubs unless the peg is positioned so that the nubs are aligned with a notched portion of the opening, and the head at the second end stops further movement of the peg through the opening. When the nubs do not pass through the opening, the nubs act as a pivot axis where a portion of the peg remains above the platform. Pegs so adjustably positioned in the openings can be arranged to surround and immobilize an object on the platform.
