Edge Strip for Workpieces, in Particular Pieces of Furniture
Herein described is an edge strip, in particular for pieces of furniture, including at least one functional layer for affixing the edge strip to a narrow side of a workpiece, in particular a piece of furniture, wherein the functional layer contains an aliphatic thermoplastic polyurethane and an aromatic thermoplastic polyurethane. Further described is a method for manufacturing the edge strip, affixing an edge strip to a narrow side of a workpiece, used of an edge strip as well as the use of a relief pattern to reduce blocking of the edge strip.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A PANEL, A PANEL AND FURNITURE COMPRISING A PANEL
A method of manufacturing a furniture panel includes placing the frame on a top of a mold, the frame at an outer edge being formed with a protrusion; shaping the plastic blank sheet by vacuum forming such that the plastic blank sheet wraps the frame and the mold; demolding and trimming, so that the trimmed plastic blank sheet wraps the protrusion of the frame and the frame is embedded in the trimmed plastic blank sheet. The method is efficient, implementing the process of wrapping a frame within a plastic panel in a simple fashion, and the panel formed smooth in profile. The panel is resistant to deformation and has a prolonged service life.
Apron front sink panel assembly
A panel assembly for providing an apron-front aesthetic for a sink installed in a cabinet. The panel assembly includes a mounting body configured for coupling to a cabinet and a cover panel coupled to the mounting body to provide an apron-front aesthetic for a sink coupled to the cabinet. The mounting body may include an opening and the cover panel may be located within the opening. The mounting body may be configured to couple to a portion of the cabinet where a false drawer would normally be located. The panel assembly may include a fastener configured to extend through a portion of the mounting body to engage the cover panel so as to secure the cover panel in place with respect to the mounting body. The cover panel may be generally planar and have a metallic finish or a textured surface finish.
