Safety shredder with bin-full device and time delay
A mechanical bin-full device for a paper shredder with a pressing plate, a contact switch, and a touching part. The pressing plate is installed at an outside portion of the shredder mechanical parts under the lower housing. One end of the pressing plate is pivots on the lower housing and the other end is free. The contact switch is fixed on the lower housing and a contact point is provided on the contact switch. The touching part is provided on the pressing plate, away from the mechanical parts. The lower housing has a through-hole under the contact point of the contact switch enabling the touching part to contact the contact point. The waste paper drives the pressing plate to turn around the joint between it and the lower housing, making the touching part touch the contact point of the contact switch and making the shredder power off.
SHREDDER
A shredder includes a strip-cut shredding portion including paired disc-shaped, multi-plate rotary cutters meshing with each other to shred paper in a strip-cut direction, and a cross-cut shredding portion including a fixed cutter and a spiral rotary cutter for further shredding strip-cut waste pieces discharged from the strip-cut shredding portion in a cross-cut direction, the shredder including a unit for detecting that the spiral rotary cutter of the cross-cut shredding portion is not rotating. Shredding by the strip-cut shredding portion is stopped when the sensor unit detects that the spiral rotary cutter is not rotating.
Shredder support frame
A shredder mechanism is disclosed herein including first and second shredder portions positioned opposite one another and defining a slot therebetween. The first and second shredder portions each include a longitudinal support having more upper fins and a plurality of lower fins. each defining a shaft receptacle. A shaft is positioned between the upper and lower fins positioned within the shaft receptacles. A plurality of cutting blades are mounted to the shaft and extend into the slot. Each of the one or more upper fins and the plurality of lower fins extend among the plurality of cutting blades. The longitudinal support includes upper and lower support portions having the one or more upper fins secured to the upper support portion and the plurality of lower fins secured to the lower support portion.
SAFETY SHREDDER WITH JAM CLEAR
A novel safe paper feed opening structure of a paper shredder, having a shredder upper cover and a paper shredder plate. The shredder upper cover has an opening, and the paper shredder plate is at the opening. The opening communicates with a moveable feed throat. The paper shredder plate can be configured in one of four positions. The moveable feed throat has a normal opening and a wide opening. The feed throat can be moved to the wide opening when the shredder plate is in a JAM CLEAR/OFF position. The CLOSED/OFF, NORMAL/ON, and SHRED-SAFE/OFF positions use a normal feed throat. A method for operating a paper shredder includes providing a shredder upper cover; providing the shredder upper cover with an opening; disposing a paper shredder plate at the opening; disposing the opening in communication with a moveable feed throat; and moving the feed throat responsive to a paper shredder condition.
Shredder system
A read unit of a scanner device reads the information fixed to a medium by printing. A transmission control unit executes the control of transmitting, to a server, the information of the medium acquired in the form of digital image data. An information acquisition unit acquires the information transmitted from a shredder. An information management unit stores the information acquired by the information acquisition unit in an acquired information database in such a way as to be identified as the information of the medium so as to be managed to be capable of being read out as the information of the medium. An information readout unit acquires a readout indication transmitted from an observer terminal. Then, the information readout unit reads the information of the medium out of the acquired information database via the information management unit.
Shredder with thickness detector
A shredder is disclosed. The shredder includes a housing having a throat for receiving at least one article to be shredded, and a shredder mechanism received in the housing and including an electrically powered motor and cutter elements. The shredder mechanism enables the at least one article to be shredded to be fed into the cutter elements. The motor is operable to drive the cutter elements so that the cutter elements shred the articles fed therein. The shredder also includes a detector that is configured to detect a thickness of the at least one article being received by the throat, and a controller that is operable to perform a predetermined operation responsive to the detector detecting that the thickness of the at least one article is at least equal to a predetermined maximum thickness.
Anti-jamming assembly for shredders of sheet like material
An anti-jam assembly for an article destroying appliance includes a fixed core mount assembly including a first support member spaced apart from a second support member with at least one moveable cutter shaft rotatably mounted and disposed there between. A third elongate member extends in parallel relationship to the at least one cutter shaft. This third support member is moveable from a first position to at least a second position. The first and the at least second position correspond to a variable width of a feed path directing an article toward the at least one cutter. An arm is affixed to the elongate member and pivotal at a mounting surface when the elongate member moves toward the second position. A sensor activates when it detects movement of the arm. The arm and the sensor are removed from a proximity of the at least one cutter or the feed path.
Paper shredder
Provided is a paper shredder comprising a housing (6) and a paper shredder head (4), wherein a transmission mechanism (5) and a motor are provided in the paper shredder head (4); the motor comprises a motor body (1), the motor body (1) having an output shaft (12) and a motor housing (11) sleeve connected on the output shaft (12); the motor housing (11) is provided with a heat dissipation device, the heat dissipation device comprising an air intake device (2) and an air output device (3); the air intake device (2) has a cold air inlet and the air output device (3) has a hot air outlet; the air intake device (2) is provided on one side of the output shaft (12) and the air output device (3) is provided on the other side of the output shaft (12); at the position where the air intake device (2) is provided on the motor housing (11) there is an air intake hole (13) opened correspondingly to communicate with an inner chamber of the motor housing (11), and at the position where the air output device (3) is provided on the motor housing (11) there is an air output hole (14) opened correspondingly to communicate with the inner chamber of the motor housing (11), such that a relatively isolated and independent heat dissipating air channel is formed internally from the cold air inlet, via the inner chamber of the motor housing (11), to the hot air outlet.
SHREDDER WITH PAPER SEPARATION AND ADVANCEMENT MECHANISM
The present disclosure is generally related to an apparatus having cutter elements for destroying articles such as paper sheets and a mechanism for separating at least a sheet from a stack in a tray. The separation mechanism can be activated by rotation of the cutter elements. In one embodiment, the separation mechanism is provided in the form of a helical mechanism configured for insertion into the stack and to receive separated sheets from the stack in between its space(s) as it is rotated. The separated sheets can fall via gravity into the shredder mechanism. Optionally, a paper feed mechanism can feed separated paper to the cutter elements. The tray can include an edge to assist in directing separated paper towards the cutter elements. One or more staple picking support mechanisms can also be provided to assist in separating sheets from a stapled set of pages.
