Height adjustable support surface and system for encouraging human movement and promoting wellness
A system for adjusting the height of a workstation for use by a user, the system comprising a frame, a worktop having an upper work surface, the worktop being vertically slidably attached to said frame and selectably adjustable in elevation to different positions including at least a first standing position and at least a first sitting position and a processor tracking a first duration of time that the worktop is in at least one of a standing position or a sitting position and generating ongoing statistical data associated with the first duration on an ongoing basis by comparing the first duration to a time period as the user is using the workstation during an ongoing prolonged period of time.
BRACKET FOR MOUNTING ACCESSORIES TO FLAT SCREEN DISPLAYS
An accessory bracket for mounting accessory devices and cables to the backside of flat screen displays. The accessory bracket provides a more secure way of mounting accessories to the backside of flat panel displays. The accessory bracket may be made of sheet metal and have a hole in it so that a standard wall mount bolt can pass through the hole allowing the accessory bracket to be fastened securely to the backside of a flat panel display utilizing the standard threaded holes on the back of most current flat panel displays. The accessory bracket may also have a tab that protrudes off to the side from it's main body so that it may be mounted next to an installed flat panel display wall mount without interfering with the wall mount's intended function.
Expandable multi-display support apparatus
The invention of the present application is an extendable, modular device (10) for supporting multiple displays. The modular display support device comprising: a column (18), being linear and extending along a longitudinal axis; a plurality of beam members comprising a center beam member (24) and a side beam member (46a, 46b), each of the plurality of beam members having identical front and rear channels (42a, 42b), each of the front and rear channels including opposing top and bottom rails (40a, 40b); a hinge joint (60a) adapted to connect the side beam member to the center beam member and enable the side beam member to pivot about a pivot axis; a beam attachment bracket adapted to secure either of the plurality of beam members to the column; and at least one display mounting assembly comprising a pair of rail mounting brackets that mate together within one of the front and rear channels of one of the plurality of beam members.
Wall Storage System
A wall storage system includes panels having recesses disposed on the rear surface that are configured to engage a mounting member that is secured on the wall to which the panel is to be secured. The mounting members are secured in a horizontal and level configuration by placing an alignment device on the wall in order to mark the locations at which the various mounting members are positioned. This alignment device enables the mounting bracket to quickly and easily be placed in the proper configuration on the wall for mounting the panels thereto in the desired configuration.
Stand Assembly for an Electronic Device Providing Multiple Degrees of Freedom and Built-in Cables
A stand assembly for an electronic device includes a neck portion with a first end that holds and extends from the electronic device, a spine portion that is coupled via a joint structure to a second end of the neck portion, the joint structure being configured to provide a first rotational degree of freedom of the neck portion with respect to the spine portion, and one or more interconnect wires. The one or more interconnect wires include a first wire portion, a second wire portion and a third wire portion, the first wire portion being routed through an interior of the neck portion, the second wire portion being routed along a surface of the spine portion, and the third wire portion being routed though the joint structure from the surface of the spine portion to the interior of the neck portion.
Thermal Management for a Compact Electronic Device
This application is directed to a passively-cooled electronic device including a housing, a plurality of electronic assemblies and a plurality of thermally conductive parts. The electronic assemblies are enclosed in the housing, and include a first electronic assembly and a second electronic assembly. The first and second electronic assemblies are disposed proximately to each other within the housing, and the second electronic assembly is substantially sensitive to heat, including heat generated by operation of the first electronic assembly. The thermally conductive parts are coupled between the first electronic assembly and the housing, and configured to create a first plurality of heat conduction paths to conduct the heat generated by the first electronic assembly away from the second electronic assembly without using a fan. At least a subset of the thermally conductive parts mechanically supports one or both of the first and second electronic assemblies.
Height adjustable support surface and system for encouraging human movement and promoting wellness
A workstation system for tracking workstation activity, the system comprising a database storing user specific information including at least one user goal associated with user activity at the workstation, the workstation including at least a first sensor, the at least a first sensor automatically collecting data useable to determine identity of a user within a space associated with the workstation and collecting user biometrics, a first reminder device and the system further including at least a first processor linked to the at least a first sensor and the reminder device, the processor receiving data from the at least a first sensor device and using the received data to attempting to determine the identity of the user that occupies the space, upon identifying the first system user, the processor tracking user biometrics, programmed to access at least a subset of the information associated with the first user and use the accessed information for the user as well as the user biometrics to automatically generate periodic reminders for the first system user via the reminder device to perform at least one activity.
Height adjustable support surface and system for encouraging human movement and promoting wellness
A method for controlling a height adjustable workstation that includes a worktop supported by a frame and a vertical displacement drive mechanism controllable to change the elevation of the worktop to different worktop elevation positions, the method comprising, using a processor linked to the drive mechanism to perform the steps of tracking periods during which the worktop is in various worktop elevation positions, using the tracked periods to identify times at which to present reminders to a workstation user to change a current worktop elevation position to a standing elevation position and at the identified times, controlling the drive mechanism to automatically change the worktop height from the current worktop elevation position to another elevation position that is distinct from any standing elevation position to encourage a workstation user to raise the worktop to a standing elevation position.
Height-adjustable support surface and system for encouraging human movement and promoting wellness
A sit-stand desk includes a frame located on a floor surface; a panel having an upper work surface and being selectively vertically displaceable in respect to the frame; and a vertical-displacement drive mechanism mechanically connected between the frame and the panel. Activation of the drive mechanism vertically displaces the panel with respect to the frame. The sit-stand desk also includes a control circuit selectively activating the drive mechanism to vertically displace the panel according to prescribed displacement instructions in response to receipt of a trigger signal and a pressure mat located on the floor surface adjacent to the frame on which a user stands. The pressure mat includes a pressure sensor in communication with the control circuit and configured to measure a presence of the user adjacent to the desk.
Lockers with charging power
In a stack or matrix of lockers, typically in two, three or more tiers or rows and in multiple columns, charge power strips are secured at the back sides of the lockers and exposed through openings in the back walls of the lockers so as to provide line power and also low-voltage DC charging power for smartphones and other portable devices, with a plurality of different charge port fittings provided. The power strips are of a length to extend to two or more lockers and preferably are installed vertically, but could be installed horizontally. The lockers have a protected channel at rear, within which the power strip is installed.
