SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PREPARING MIXTURE OF GROUND SUBSTANCES DISPENSED IN ONE OR MORE RECEPTACLES
An apparatus and method for automatically preparing a mixture of particles of two or more substances such as but not limited to raw tobacco and raw medical cannabis flowers in one or more receptacle where the mixture proportion is predefined, is disclosed. The apparatus of the invention can be used for mixing any types of herbal substances. Moreover, the apparatus of the invention can be used for mixing one or more kinds of the same substance, for example mixing two or more kinds of marijuana strains. The apparatus includes one or more compartments for inserting each of the substances separately, In some variations of the present invention the size of at least one of the compartments is smaller for predefined smaller quantities of raw herbal material for example, a single marijuana flower.
Compact high-security destruction machine
A small-form-factor high-security destruction machine for optical media has a weight empty of about 16.3 lbs and holds about 5 lbs of residue.
Grinding chamber of a grinding device for vegetal products suitable to form beverages, particularly roasted coffee beans
A grinding chamber of a grinding device for vegetal products suitable to form beverages includes, in its interior, a pair of grinders axially overlapping each other, one of which is rotatable with respect to the other which is kept stationary, a grinder support at least for the rotatable grinder, a motor member connected to the grinder support for setting the rotatable grinder in rotation. The grinding chamber is formed by a first bottom wall, perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the rotatable grinder, adjacent and below the support thereof, and at least a second cylindrical wall, connected axially to the first wall at the peripheral boundary thereof. The grinding chamber also includes a first opening for introducing the product to be ground and with a second opening for discharging the ground product. A labyrinth is provided between the peripheral boundary of the first wall and the grinder support.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ASPHALT PRODUCTS WITH RECYCLED ASPHALT SHINGLES
A method for manufacturing a processed asphalt suspension is provided. The method includes dry grinding shingle waste material to a particle size of less than 1 cm, forming ground recycled shingle material, introducing virgin asphalt into a heated slurry tank and mixing the ground recycled shingle material with the virgin asphalt in the heated slurry tank, forming a mixed asphalt slurry, introducing the mixed asphalt slurry into a wet grinding machine, and recovering a processed asphalt suspension comprising particles having a size no greater than about 200 microns. Roofing and paving products manufactured from the processed asphalt suspension are also provided.
Method and apparatus for recovering germanium from optic fibers
A method for processing strands of optic fiber in which a box containing one or more pairs of wheels either crush, cut or bend and break the strands of optic fiber before being transported to a separator. The separator can be positioned to deposit material onto a conveyor belt, into a storage container or into a separate structure known as a step-cleaner. The box can contain a pair of cutting and anvil wheels, a pair of drive wheels or a pair of wheels featuring teeth that cut, crush or bend the strands of optic fiber prior to a suction force removing them from the box and transporting them to the separator. A step cleaner contains one or more rotating wheels with tines that agitate and move the cut, broken or crushed fibers. The suction force is created by a blower operably connected to a passage that communicates with the separator.
COCONUT HARD SHELL GRANULAR INFILL FOR SYNTHETIC SPORT FIELDS
A coconut material comprising short fibers having a length in a range of 0.5 to 25 millimeters. A method to produce short fibers includes processing coconut husks to separate coir material comprised of pith and fiber from the husks, separating short coconut fibers having a length in the rage of 0.5 to 25 millimeters from the coir material, and packaging the short coconut fibers. The method may include softening the short fibers.
SYSTEM FOR PROCESSING SOLID AND LIQUID CONSTRUCTION WASTE
A system for processing solid and liquid waste includes a first shale shaker, a second shale shaker, a submersible pump, a centrifugal pump, a first collection tank, a second collection tank, a mud cleaner assembly, a variable frequency drive (VFD) centrifugal solid-liquid separator, and a water clarifying assembly. The first shale shaker is in fluid communication with the second shale shaker through the submersible pump. The second shale shaker is in fluid communication with the centrifugal pump through the first collection tank. The centrifugal pump is in fluid communication with the mud cleaner assembly. The mud cleaner assembly is in fluid communication with the VFD centrifugal solid-liquid separator through the water clarifying assembly. Resultantly, the system discharges a flow of usable water through the VFD centrifugal solid-liquid separator as an initial load of solid and liquid waste is inputted into the first shale shaker.
Hydrolyzed starches as grinding aids for mineral ore processing
Grinding aid compositions comprising hydrolyzed starches, such as dextrin, maltodextrin or corn syrup solids. The grinding aid compositions are typically added to various mineral ore slurries prior to grinding operations to affect the rheology characteristics of the mineral ore slurries.
Reuse of paint-saturated alkaline earth metal carbonates
Methods are provided for beneficially reusing a paint-saturated filter aid, such as paint-saturated alkaline earth metal carbonates, as a substitute in applications requiring virgin alkaline earth metal carbonates. The paint-saturated filter aid is prepared by re-milling paint-saturated filter aid to a predetermined size to produce re-milled particles suitable for reuse in a variety of applications, including flooring, concrete, and the like. Also provided are flooring materials including re-milled particles of a paint-saturated filter aid characterized by one or more of: a median particle size (D50) of about 1 to about 50 microns; less than about 5% of the re-milled particles being retained on a 200 mesh screen; or a top cut size (D90) of about 5 to about 300 microns.
