There is provided a method for enhanced extraction of cannabis oil from a cannabis plant material, and a free-flowing powder consisting of particles of cannabis plant material for use in such method. The cannabis plant material is characterized by a cannabis strain and a cannabis plant part. The method including a step of comminuting the cannabis plant material to a powder of a preselected particle size distribution (PSD) characterized by 10≤Dv(90)≤100 μm as determined by laser diffraction particle size analysis prior to the extraction process, whereby the PSD is preselected in accordance with cannabis strain and the plant part.

The device includes: a storage barrel for the liquid additive; a weighing bucket which is in fluid communication with the storage barrel and is adapted for weighing a predetermined amount of the liquid additive; a powder container to accommodate NdFeB alloy material prior to or after jet milling, wherein the powder container includes an opening that is plugged with a blind flange; a connecting pipe, which is in fluid communication with the weighing bucket and passes through an opening of the blind flange into the interior of the powder container; and a fluid atomization nozzle located at the end of the connection pipe.

In consideration of increasing throughput rate of a stable operating process as well as making the process energy-efficient, the aim is to optimise a fluidised bed opposed jet mill and a dedicated process to produce ultrafine particles from a feed material of low bulk density with a housing in vertical design, with a product feed point and a product discharge, with a grinding zone located in the lower area of the housing which has grinding nozzles spaced evenly around the circumference whose jets intersect at one central point and with a classifying device installed in the upper area of the housing. This is achieved by the feed material dosed to the mill from the bottom into the mill sump as a gas-particle mixture, whereby a deflector hood is located above the feed point and below the grinding nozzle level, and the grinding gas nozzles designed to be flush with the walls.

A vortex mill and a milling method for comminuting of a raw particulate material is described. The vortex mill comprises an outer preferably cylindrical casing fitted with an inlet port for supplying a compressed working fluid into the easing. The vortex mill further comprises a milling chamber, which is situated in the casing. The milling chamber is configured for comminuting the particulate solids therein. The milling chamber is delimited by a side wall, by a lower disc and by an opposite upper disc. A central opening is provided in the upper disc and at least one nozzle is arranged in the side wall of the milling chamber such that a compressed working fluid could be supplied from the outer casing trough the at least one nozzle tangentially into the milling chamber. The vortex mill further comprises a discharge collector, which is in fluid communication with the milling chamber via the central opening in the upper disc wall. A feeding tube is provided which is situated co-axially with the milling chamber and is in fluid communication therewith so as to supply the raw particulate material into the milling chamber. The vortex mill further comprises at least one comminuting control component enabling comminuting the raw material such that material with customizable parameters of particle size distribution is produced.
