Grinding roll
A grinding roll including a roll body having a cylindrical outer surface extending axially between a pair of opposite ends and a side groove formed at each end of the roll body. The side groove includes a support shoulder recessed from the cylindrical outer surface and/or from surfaces of the opposite ends of the roll body. The grinding roll includes an edge ring including a plurality of spaced receiving cavities and a plurality of wear members. Each wear member is received and retained in at least one of the receiving cavities of the edge ring. The wear members are positioned along the edge ring to define an edge of the grinding roll, and the edge ring is received within each side groove. The wear members are arranged to provide a wear protecting surface which is angled in relation to the cylindrical outer surface of the roll body. The angled wear protecting surface prevents excessive build-up of material on the grinding roll and reduces the need for maintenance.
Apparatus and method for attaching a crushing mantle of a cone crusher to a carrier cone of the cone crusher and for detaching the crushing mantle from the carrier cone
An apparatus (2) and a method for attaching a cone-shaped crushing mantle (4) of a cone crusher (100) to a carrier cone (6) of the cone crusher (100) and for detaching the crushing mantle (4) from the carrier cone (6) are provided. The apparatus (2) comprises a hydraulically actuated pre-tensioning actuator (24) adapted for pressing the crushing mantle (4) against the carrier cone (6) in a pre-tensioning process in the axial direction prior to tightening attachment screws (18) in the head region (20) of the carrier cone (6). The hydraulic pre-tensioning actuator (24) comprises a pressure chamber (26) for receiving a pressurized hydraulic medium and a piston (28) limiting the pressure chamber (26). The hydraulic pre-tensioning actuator (24) is applied externally to a pressure plate (10) during the pre-tensioning process, such that a piston rod (36) of the piston (28) or a rod-shaped element attached thereto extends through the central opening (14) of the pressure plate (10) and is attached to the head region (20) of the carrier cone (6), wherein the pressure chamber (26) and the piston (28) of the hydraulic pre-tensioning actuator (24) are located on a side of the pressure plate (10) opposite to the carrier cone (6). The hydraulic pre-tensioning actuator (24) may be released and removed from the pressure plate (10) outside the pre-tensioning process.
GRINDING MILL LINER
A liner element for lining a vertical grinding mill agitator including one or more primary mounting portions configured to releasably mount the liner to a shaft of the agitator; and one or more secondary mounting portions configured to releasably mount one or more wear members to the liner. A liner segment including the liner element and at least one wear member is also disclosed.
WEAR-RESISTANT ROTOR
The invention relates to a rotor for an agitating mill having a generally cylindrical rotor body, the outer wall of which defines an inner surface of a milling chamber, through which a feed material to be treated flows during operation of the agitating mill. A ceramic ring is arranged at the rotor end of the rotor body, the rotor end being arranged opposite the product inlet of the agitating mill. The invention also relates to an agitating mill comprising the rotor according to the invention, to the use of the rotor according to the invention in an agitating mill for producing dispersions, and to a method for producing the rotor.
Non-forged hammermill hammer
Improved free-swinging hammermill hammer configurations are disclosed and described for comminution of materials such as grain and refuse. The hammer configurations of the present disclosure are adaptable to most hammer mill or grinders having free-swinging systems. The configurations as disclosed and claimed are non-forged and incorporate a saddle or hammer mouth. The merging of a hammer and saddle improves strength to reduce or maintain the weight of the hammer while increasing the amount of force delivered to the material to be comminuted. The improved configurations incorporate comminution edges having increased hardness for longer operational run times. The improved configurations improve installing, removing, and cleaning hammer components within the hammermill. The improved configurations may incorporate hammermill rod hole of varying shapes and sizes and saddles of varying shapes and sizes or the use of non-planar hammer bodies that have a recessed or protruding surface.
DISCHARGE END WALL INSERTS
A sleeve insert for covering one or more selected surfaces of one or more pulp lifters of a discharge end assembly including a discharge end wall of a mill shell partially defined by an outer perimeter wall thereof, the pulp lifters being mounted on the discharge end wall. The sleeve insert is formed to cover the selected surfaces to mitigate wear to which the selected surfaces are subjected when the sleeve insert is located in a predetermined position relative to the selected surfaces.
Discharge portion liner attachment structure for vertical shredder
In a discharge portion liner attachment structure for a vertical shredder including a sweeper supported below a rotor in such a manner as to be coaxial with a rotation shaft, a discharge ring disposed on a circumference portion of the sweeper, and a discharge portion through which a shredding target object that has been swept out through an opening formed on a circumference wall of the discharge ring by a sweeping operation performed by the sweeper is discharged to outside, discharge portion liners are attached in such a manner as to protrude from a side of the discharge portion to a side of the discharge ring in such a manner as to cover edge portions of ones of the discharge ring liners on a side of the opening.
Method of replacing hammers and spacers
Improved free-swinging hammermill hammer configurations are disclosed and described for comminution of materials such as grain and refuse. The hammer configurations of the present disclosure are adaptable to most hammer mill or grinders having free-swinging systems. The configurations as disclosed incorporate comminution edges having increased hardness for longer operational run times. The improved configurations improve installing, removing, and cleaning hammer components within the hammermill. More particularly, a method for replacing hammers and spacers includes pre-assembling hammers, spacers, hammer saddles, locking collars, or any combination thereof and temporarily attaching them to one another before placement onto a hammermill rod. Once placed on the hammermill rod, the temporary attachment is broken such that the hammers within the pre-assembled group may move freely with respect to one another.
WEAR-RESISTANT ELEMENT FOR A COMMINUTING DEVICE
A wear-resistant element for partially inserting into a recess in the surface of a wear surface of a comminuting device. The wear-resistant element has a fastening region, which is connectable to the recess in the surface of the wear surface and a wearing region, which protrudes at least partially from the surface of the wear surface. The fastening region includes a material that is less wear-resistant than the material of the wearing region, wherein the wearing region extends beyond the fastening region at the level of the wear-resistant element.
