Rack anti-tip system

A rack anti-tip system includes an elongated member that includes a first end, a second end located opposite the elongated member from the first end, and a plurality of coupling members that are provided on the elongated member between the first end and the second end and that are each configured to couple the elongated member to a respective adjustable foot subsystem of a rack having a first tip angle. A plurality of anti-tip members extend from the elongated member. The plurality of anti-tip members are positioned relative to the plurality of coupling members to cause the rack to have a second tip angle that is greater than the first tip angle when the elongated member is coupled to the rack.

FURNITURE DRAWER LOCKING MECHANISM AND METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTING THE SAME
20180098629 · 2018-04-12 ·

Furniture, such as bookcases and dressers, are child-proofed against tipping forward by being mounted to a wall by a combination of a rail attached to the furniture, the rail having an angled undercut, and a cleat. The rail and cleat have corresponding angled cuts so that, when the furniture is properly installed, the rail rests on the cleat and the furniture is prevented from tipping or falling forward. The cleat should be attached to a structural member, such as a stud behind drywall. An additional safety device for furniture having drawers is a retainer that, in an engaged position, holds existing drawers in place, and prevents the full insertion of drawers, unless the furniture is installed on a firmly attached cleat. The cleat disengages the retainer during proper installation of the furniture on the cleat, whereby drawers can be fully inserted and removed as desired by the user. Thus, a child climbing on open drawers in a dresser, or on shelving in a storage unit, will not be subjected to injury or death by the furniture tipping forward on to the child.

FURNITURE ASSEMBLY

A furniture assembly includes a first object, a second object, a self-closing device, an aiding member, an interlock mechanism and an actuating part. The second object is displaceable relative to the first object. The self-closing device is arranged on the first object and includes a base, a working member and a resilient member. The working member and the aiding member are movable relative to the base. The interlock mechanism is arranged on the first object. The actuating part is arranged on the second object. When the second object is located at the extended position and the working member returns to an initial position from an engaging position in response to a self-closing resilient force provided by the resilient member, the aiding member is located at a predetermined position to retain at least one locking member of the interlock mechanism at a locking position.

ANTI-TOPPLE DEVICE

An anti-topple device for preventing a cabinet from swaying or falling over includes a pedestal, a screw, a first adjusting member, a second adjusting member, and a connecting member. The pedestal is fixed on the floor and the screw is fixed to the pedestal. The first adjusting member and the second adjusting member are slidably mounted on the screw and the connecting member to make the cabinet height adjustable. The connecting member secures onto the two beams of the cabinet positioned at the bottom of the cabinet to hold the cabinet firmly against the floor. The two beams flank the screw on opposite sides to firmly fix the cabinet to the floor.

A wall anchoring assembly for securing furniture to a vertical support is provided. The wall anchoring assembly includes a wall anchoring mount and a furniture anchoring mount, both attach to the vertical support and the furniture, respectively, in a face to face orientation. Each anchoring mount and attachment portion provides horizontal flanges that nest so that the flanges' fastener holes align for an elongated fastener to secure the vertical support and furniture in a locked engagement.

Overturn preventing device and method of mounting the same

Providing an overturn preventing device which can easily be mounted between a top surface of a piece of furniture and a ceiling while an axis line of a damper relative to a vertical direction is inclined at an angle ranging from 15 to 25. The overturn preventing device includes a damper, a first base portion and a second base portion. The first base portion has a first abutting surface and a first connection. The first base portion is mounted on the top surface of the furniture. The second base portion has a second abutting surface and a second connection. The second base portion is mounted on the ceiling. A relation, X+L sin 15YX+L sin 25, is obtained where reference symbol X designates a distance from the first abutting surface to the first connection, reference symbol L designates a length of the damper and reference symbol Y designates a distance from the second abutting surface the second connection.

Overturn preventing device

Providing an overturn preventing device which can successfully prevent overturn of an article. The overturn preventing device includes a damper mounted between a piece of furniture and a ceiling and a setting member connected to both ends of the damper. The setting member has a first setting part body and a second setting part body. The first and second setting part bodies and of the setting member are spread when the overturn preventing device is mounted between the furniture and the ceiling. The setting member assumes such a shape as to extend in one direction when the first and second setting part bodies and are unspread.

Slide rail assembly with interlock device

A slide rail assembly includes a supporting rail, a first rail, a second rail, and an interlock device. The second rail can be displaced with respect to the first rail. The interlock device is movably disposed between the first rail and the supporting rail. The second rail displaces the interlock device while being displaced from a retracted position with respect to the first rail to a predetermined position in an opening direction.
