Ore separation wheel
Disclosed is a material separation apparatus with a circular ore separation wheel and a number of projected spiral portions, tilted towards a central hole, provided on a concave shaped interior surface. A pair of adjacent projected spiral portions forms less than 90 degree angle to create a negative draft for an upward movement of the heavy materials during rotation of the circular ore separation wheel. The central hole of the circular ore separation wheel is attached with a central hub to rotate the circular ore separation wheel to trap the collected heavy materials in between the adjacent projected spiral portions. The circular ore separation wheel is kept in a tilted position, forming a predetermined tilting angle with the vertical, is rotated at a predetermined speed to help the created negative draft to separate the heavy material(s) from a mixture of heavy and light materials fed into the circular ore separation wheel.
ENERGY EFFICIENT SCHEDULING FOR COMPUTING SYSTEMS AND METHOD THEREFOR
A system, and method for controlling a computing system, comprising: reading a stored energy-performance characteristic of a plurality of different phases of execution of software, an execution of each phase being associated with a consumption of a variable amount of energy in dependence on at least a processing system performance state, the performance state being defined by a selectable performance-energy consumption optimization for at least two processing system components; scheduling a plurality of phases of execution of the software, in dependence on the stored energy-performance characteristics, for each of the respective phases of execution of the software and at least one system-level energy criterion; and executing the phases of execution of the software in accordance with the scheduling.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR WASHING SHEETS OF PLASTIC MATERIAL
A method and apparatus for washing sheets of plastic material originating from industrial and agricultural waste, for subsequent reuse thereof as a raw material. The sheets of plastic material, precut into soiled pieces of large dimensions, and a water flow are supplied to a washing tank containing a water bath; a screw stirrer generates intense stirring of the water bath and recirculation, inside the tank, of the soiled plastic pieces that causes the contaminating material to be detached and separated by sedimentation from the plastic pieces. The cleaned pieces of plastic material of large dimensions, devoid of contaminant, which float in the water bath are removed by dragging, in a floating condition, along a discharging channel by the combined action of a dragging device and of a water flow that exits the washing tank; the dragging device, consisting of an endless belt, extends from one side of the washing tank along the discharging channel, supported in a freely tiltable manner.
Method of plant resin separation and extraction
A process for trichome separation from plant matter deploys water slurry agitation and/or dry sieving to produce a mixture of solid trichomes and similar sized plant debris. The plant debris in each separate fraction is then removed by gravity filtration in a dense inert liquid, which is preferably a salt or brine solution. The desirable trichomes or trichome glands float on the dense liquid, while the undesirable vegetative matter sinks to the bottom of the brine containing vessel. The trichomes are readily removed and washed before further processing.
Apparatus and method for efficient estimation of the energy dissipation of processor based systems
A system and method of scheduling tasks, comprising receiving activity and performance data from registers or storage locations maintained by hardware and an operating system; storing calibration coefficients associated with the activity and performance data; computing an energy dissipation rate based on at least the activity and performance data; and scheduling tasks under the operating system based on the computed energy dissipation rate.
WASHING AND SEPARATING METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PLASTICS MATERIALS
A method and apparatus for washing and separating pieces of plastics material from contaminants includes supplying to a washing container pieces of plastics material containing contaminating material and an entering flow of washing fluid. A turbulent stirring action to detach and separate mechanically the contaminating material from the plastics material is generated. evacuating through overflowing, through an outlet port An outlet flow of washing fluid and a quantity of plastics material that has undergone the turbulent stirring action is evacuated by overflow through an outlet port. A controlled-conveying and retaining arrangement is driven to retain the plastics material in the washing container and to advance in a controlled manner the quantity of plastics material to the outlet port independently of the advancement of the outlet flow of washing fluid. An adjustable bulkhead is arranged in the washing fluid at a depth with respect to the free surface to divert from the outlet port the pieces of plastics material that, once supplied to the container, by advancing more on the surface, tend to reach the outlet zone of the washings container. The bulkhead guides and forces the pieces of plastics to undergo the turbulent stirring action to separate and detach the adhering contaminants therefrom.
Gold Pan and Method of Use Thereof
The present invention is a novel gold pan and associated method for improved yield of gold during the panning process. The gold pan has a continuous curved sidewall and a base, wherein the curved sidewall and the base are used for collecting gold. A portion of the curved sidewall has a plurality of ripples, each ripple having a ridge, an extending lip, and a cavity, the cavity is used for trapping black sand and gold particles, wherein a vortex of mixture of water, gravel, sand and more is produced in the pan and upon circulating and repeating of the pan, the gravels and blonde sand is rinsed out while leaving the black sand including the gold behind. The process does not require a user to keep looking in the pan during the panning process and improves the yield of the gold or other gemstones being panned.

SOIL WASHING PROCESS AND APPARATUS
A soil washing process includes mixing water and contaminated soil in a log washer, separating the soil and water mixture into a first stream of wet soil and a second stream of water and floating organic materials, dewatering the first stream of wet soil to form a cleaned soil stream, dewatering the second stream to separate out the organic materials and form a water stream, separating the water stream into a stream of non-colloidal particulates and a stream of colloid-containing water, dewatering the stream of non-colloidal particulates, and adding the stream of colloid-containing water to the soil and water mixture. The method may further include returning a first portion of the colloid-containing water to the log washer, and drawing off a second portion of the colloid-containing water to filter out the colloids before returning a clean water stream to the log washer.
