Braking device, system and method
A braking system for safely collecting brake dust produced by operation of a braking mechanism. The braking system comprises a collector apparatus coupled with a braking mechanism. The collector apparatus is able to include a shroud that surrounds the braking mechanism and a catch element coupled with the shroud for collecting brake dust exiting the shroud. As a result, when coupled with the braking mechanism, the collector apparatus is able to ensure that most or all brake dust, such as copper or other particles from the braking mechanism that break off from the breaking mechanism during operation of the braking mechanism, are removed from the braking mechanism and collected by the filter/catch of the collector mechanism.
COOKING EXHAUST HOOD VENTILATION SYSTEM
A commercial cooking equipment exhaust hood system includes a hood structure including an inlet opening to an exhaust flow path through the hood. A filter unit is positioned along the exhaust flow path. An electrostatic precipitator unit is downstream of the filter unit. The electrostatic precipitator includes an ionizing section upstream of a collecting section. The ionizing section includes a plurality of ionizing flow paths having side profile patterns that vary in width between at least one wide section and at least one narrow section. The collecting section includes a plurality of collecting flow paths with side profile patterns of substantially uniform width and a repeating undulating side profile pattern. A UV light source may also be provided within the hood, with a controller operatively connected to control the UV light source via a dimmer to enable selective production various UV levels.
AIR DUST REMOVAL SYSTEM AND METHOD
An air dust removal method, comprising the following steps: 1) using an ionization dust removal electric field to adsorb particulate matters in intake air; and 2) using the ionization dust removal electric field to charge an intake air electret element. The method can effectively remove dust in air, the dust removal ability is better, and the dust removal efficiency is higher.

A carbon fiber charging device and an electrical appliance therefor are provided. The carbon fiber charging device includes a carbon fiber electrode configured to generate electrons and charge surrounding dust, a protective case configured to cover the carbon fiber electrode such that a foreign object having a size of a human finger is not able to contact the carbon fiber electrode, the protective case including a top wall facing a tip of the carbon fiber electrode and provided with a through hole and a side wall surrounding an outer circumferential surface of the carbon fiber electrode, and an electron generation stabilization device provided in the protective case and configured to allow the carbon fiber electrode to generate electrons stably.
Wire electrode cleaning in ionizing blowers
Apparatuses for converting a non-ionized gas stream into an ionized gas stream are disclosed. Disclosed apparatus include an ionizing wire electrode at least partially disposed within and stationary relative to a channel. A frame has plural support elements for supporting the ionizing wire. The frame is configured to make full rotations around the channel in a first rotation direction while applying tension to the ionizing wire. The support elements are configured to physically remove material from the ionizing wire while the support elements are moved along the wire by the frame rotation.
AIR DUST REMOVAL SYSTEM AND METHOD
An air dust removal system (101) includes a dust removal system inlet (1011), a dust removal system outlet, and an electric field apparatus (1014). The electric field apparatus (1014) has an electric field apparatus inlet, an electric field apparatus outlet, a dust removal electric field cathode (10142), and a dust removal electric field anode (10141); the dust removal electric field cathode (10142) and the dust removal electric field anode (10141) are used for generating an ionization dust removal electric field. When dust is collected in the ionization dust removal electric field, the electric field apparatus (1014) detects an electric field current. The air dust removal system (101) can effectively remove particulate matters in air.

Electrostatic charging air cleaning device
An electrostatic charging air cleaning device having first and second pre-chargers. The first pre-charger is configured to generate a first corona discharge to electrostatically charge PM in the incoming air stream with a first charge to form a first exiting air stream exiting the first pre-charger. The second pre-charger is configured to generate a second corona discharge to electrostatically charge PM in the incoming air stream with a second charge to form a second exiting air stream exiting the second pre-charger. The device also includes a separator having apertures such that PM in the second exiting air stream passes through the separator to agglomerate with PM in the first exiting air stream to form agglomerated particles. The apertures are sized such that the agglomerated particles are larger than the apertures to preclude the agglomerated particles from reentering the second exiting air stream.
Apparatus and Method for Enhancing Filtration of Airborne Contaminants Via Eccentric Particle Movements
Disclosed is an apparatus for enhancing filtration. Enhanced filtration is promoted via the eccentric movement of charged particles within a defined space. This eccentric movement causes the charged particles to collide and conglomerate. The conglomeration, in turn, improves the efficiency of downstream filer media.
