Discharge device
A discharge device capable of maintaining a stable discharge performance even in a highly humid environment or an atmospheric environment containing salt includes a discharge electrode discharging when a voltage is applied thereto, a substrate supporting the discharge electrode, an induction electrode arranged apart from the discharge electrode, and an insulator enclosing all of the substrate and the induction electrode. The discharge electrode has a root portion supported by the substrate, a pointed end protruding from a surface of the insulator, and a taper portion tapering from the root portion toward the pointed end. An outer peripheral surface of the root portion is made of a material having an ionization tendency lower than that of hydrogen.
Electrostatic air cleaner
An electrostatic air cleaner comprises a main body, a corona discharged module, a collector module and a fan. The main body has an airflow passage for disposing the corona discharged module, the collector module and the fan. The fan is used for drawing an air stream into the airflow passage. The corona discharged module is used for discharging particles in the air stream. The charged particles are then captured by the collector module.
Portable ionization unit for attachment to an overhead airflow nozzle
A portable ionization unit for attachment to an overhead airflow nozzle is disclosed. The ionization unit includes a housing. A rechargeable self-contained ionizer is positioned inside the housing. The housing is attachable to the overhead airflow nozzle. Once the ionization unit is attached to the overhead airflow nozzle, a dome of bipolar ionized air is created above the seated passenger.
CHARGING DEVICE AND ELECTRIC DUST COLLECTOR
A charging device or an electric dust collector has a downstream side grounded electrode plate 90 placed so as to obstruct the flow of a dust-containing air and having openings 91 for allowing the dust-containing air to pass therethrough, a supporting plate 60 placed on the upstream side of the electrode plate 90, and downstream side discharging electrodes 80b supported by the supporting plate 60 so as to extend from the supporting plate 60 towards the electrode plate 90, and placed so as to correspond to the openings 91. The tip parts of the discharging electrodes 80b penetrate the openings 91 and project to the downstream side of the electrode plate 90, and the tip part of each discharging electrode 80b and the edge part of each opening 91 are positioned so as to have a predetermined gap between them.
Ion generator mounting device
The present invention provides methods and systems for an ion generator mounting device for application of bipolar ionization to airflow within a conduit, the device includes a housing for mounting to the conduit having an internal panel within the enclosure, and an arm extending from the housing for extension into the conduit and containing at least one opening. At least one coupling for mounting an ion generator to the arm oriented with an axis extending between a pair of electrodes of the ion generator being generally perpendicular to a flow direction of the airflow within the conduit.
DUST COLLECTOR AND AIR CONDITIONER
A dust collector in an embodiment includes: a discharge electrode having tips; a counter electrode including a plurality of conductor plates each having an end opposed to the discharge electrode and arrange side by side in a plate thickness direction; and a power supply that applies voltage between the discharge electrode and the counter electrode. The counter electrode has a first region closer to the tips and a second region farther from the tips than is the first region, and at least one of an interval between or a distance from the tips or a shape of at least part of the ends in the first region is different from the interval, the distance, or the shape in the second region.
ION GENERATOR DEVICE
A system and method of treating air. Bipolar ionization is delivered to an airflow within a conduit from a tubeless ion generator. The ionized airflow may be delivered to a conditioned airspace by an HVAC system. In alternate applications, the airflow delivers ionized combustion air to an engine. The invention also includes a mounting assembly for positioning one or more ion generators into an airflow.
Configuration for a power supply of a component in an exhaust gas system
A configuration for a power supply of a component in an exhaust gas system includes at least one electrical contact disposed at an exhaust gas line. The at least one electrical contact is surrounded by an electrical insulation material.
Particle charger
A particle charger is provided with: a filter (28) partitioning the inside of a housing (20) into a first space (29) and second space (30); a particle introducer (22) for introducing a particle into the first space; a gas ion supplier (10) for supplying the first space with a gas ion; a potential gradient creator (26, 27, 31) for creating a potential difference within the housing so as to make the gas ion and a charged particle resulting from a contact of the aforementioned particle with the gas ion move toward the second space; an AC voltage supplier (32, 33) for applying AC voltages having a phase difference to the neighboring electrodes (28a, b) included in the filter; a controller (35) for performing a control for applying, to the plurality of electrodes, predetermined voltages so as to allow the charged particle to pass through a gap between the electrodes while trapping the gas ion by the electrodes; and a charged particle extractor (23, 25, 34) for extracting the charged particle admitted to the second space to the outside of the housing. By this configuration, the occurrence frequency of the multi-charging is suppressed.
ELECTRIFICATION UNIT AND ELECTROSTATIC PRECIPITATOR COMPRISING SAME
