Disclosed herein is a flue pipe system comprising a flue pipe, a first electrode, a second electrode, a third electrode, and a voltage supply. The flue pipe can define a fluid flow path through an interior volume of the flue pipe. The voltage supply can be connected to the first electrode, the second electrode, and the third electrode. The voltage supply can form a first electrical circuit comprising the voltage supply, the first electrode, and the third electrode and a second electrical circuit comprising the voltage supply, the second electrode, and the third electrode. The first electrical circuit can form a streamer corona discharge between the first electrode and the third electrode in the interior volume such that the fluid flow path flows therethrough. The second electrical circuit can form a flow of ions between the second electrode and the third electrode along the interior surface of the flue pipe.

A working fluid filtration and separation system that removes contaminants from a working fluid of a working machine. The system includes a vessel and an electrostatic collector mounted within the vessel which electrostatically removes contaminants from contaminated working fluid as it passes through the electrostatic collector element. The electrostatic collector element includes a plurality of concentric electrodes of different radii, a plurality of corrugated walls residing in spaces located between adjacent electrodes. An elongated center post electrode is provided that induces a voltage in at least one of the plurality of concentric electrodes. The system is configured to generate a voltage difference between each pair of adjacent concentric electrodes to electrostatically remove contaminants from the working fluid as it flows through the filtration and separation system. The system further includes a center post isolator that is configured to mount the center post isolator within the vessel and electrically insulate the center post electrode from the vessel.

A vehicle is provided including a cabin, a conduit arranged to conduct a flow of air from outside the vehicle to the cabin, and a filter unit arranged to filter at least a portion of the flow of air before it enters the cabin. Further, an ionizing unit is arranged in the conduit upstream of the filter unit as seen in the direction of the flow of air so as to charge particles present in the flow of air and transmit at least a major part of the charged particles towards the filter unit. The at least one collector electrode has a tube-like shape arranged to conduct at least a portion of the flow of air, and the at least one emitter electrode is arranged at a central axis of the tube-like shaped collector electrode, whereby a more uniform ionization field is provided.

Known wet electrostatic precipitators are large and inefficient. The present invention enables the production of smaller, more efficient and long lasting wet electrostatic precipitators by the addition of a central bore in the inner electrode through which a first purge flow is passed and directed into the precipitator chamber, perpendicular to the direction of flow of the gas to be treated through the chamber to urge the particulate into the water curtain. A second, larger, cleaning purge flow is also provided to disturb the water curtain such that it cleans the inner electrode of any deposited particulate.

The separator device further includes a pressure-drop generating member in the separation chamber. The oil recovery chamber is coupled to the downstream portion of the separation chamber via a vacuuming port, so that the oil recovery chamber is depressed.
