METHOD FOR ACCELERATING MATERIAL CLEANING BY STRONG MAGNET PARTICLES AND ITS APPLICATION

A method and application of accelerating material cleaning with strong magnet particles are provided. The wind airflow enter from the material inlet to accelerate the material, so that the material particles move at a certain speed, and the position and speed of the material can be controlled when it reaches the highest speed; There are internal strong magnetic field units where the material passes, especially when the material reaches the highest speed; Internal strong magnetic field units are used to generate the internal strong magnetic field. According to the method and application, the internal strong magnetic field is used to eliminate the attractive forces such as electromagnetic force, van der Waals force and liquid bridge between the material and the impurities attached to the surface of the material.

MICRO-MACHINED FILTER FOR MAGNETIC PARTICLES

A method for filtering magnetic particles includes spinning a filter including a plurality of pores within a substrate. The method further includes applying, subsequent to spinning the filter, an external magnetic field to the filter. The method includes disposing a solution including a first particle and a second particle onto the filter. The first particle includes a magnetic particle of interest. The method further includes separating the first particle from the second particle by capturing the first particle within a pore of the plurality of pores within the substrate.

A filter for removing ferrous particles from a fluid. The filter has an outer filter housing and a non-ferrous liner inside the housing. A plurality of magnets are longitudinally extended at intervals outside the liner. An insert inside the liner imparting a directional flow to the fluid inside the filter whereby ferrous particles in the fluid are trapped by the magnets and held against the non-ferrous line.

SIDE STREAM FILTER FLUID TREATMENT FOR NEW AND OLD SYSTEMS

Certain examples of the present disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for treating a fluid, such as water, when initially introduced into an empty fluid circuit (such as a heating and/or cooling system) via a temporary fluid connection 602 from a fluid supply connector 601; and also for treating existing fluid in a fluid circuit of a heating and/or cooling system. Certain examples provide an apparatus 101 comprising a vessel 102 having an open upper end 103 and a removable lid 108. The vessel includes: a circulating fluid inlet port 104 in a side wall 105 thereof, a circulating fluid outlet port 106 in a lower end 107 thereof, and a combined drain and water inlet port 600 in the lower end 107 thereof.

Magnetic separator

A pneumatically-operated magnetic separator captures magnetic contaminants from process fluids. Process fluids are used in many industrial operations for various purposes. The pneumatically-operated magnetic separator can include a housing wall, a first flange plate assembly, a second flange plate assembly, a main fluid passage, tubes, and shuttles. The first and second flange plate assemblies can each include a pair of flange plates. The tubes extend between the first and second flange plate assemblies, and the shuttles are situated in the tubes. Each of the shuttles includes one or more magnets. During use, the shuttles move longitudinally in the tubes in response to pneumatic actuation and de-actuation, per an example. Weldments attach the tubes and the first and second flange plate assemblies together.

Method and Apparatus for Magnetically Sorting Biological Objects

A process for magnetically sorting biological objects includes the steps of applying a magnetic field generated by a magnetic assembly to a flexible conduit; flowing a sample fluid containing magnetically labeled biological objects through the flexible conduit to collect the magnetically labeled biological objects on a conduit wall; removing the magnetic field from the flexible conduit; and mechanically deforming the flexible conduit to loosen the magnetically labeled biological objects collected on the conduit wall.

Magnetic matrices and methods of using the same

A magnetic matrix for magnetic separation of particles in a material feed includes a plurality of grooved plates having first and second sides that both have an alternating series of teeth and grooves therealong, each grooved plate having an offset alignment in which teeth and grooves on a first side of a plate are laterally offset from teeth and grooves on a second side of the same plate. Also provided are methods of using magnetic matrices to separate magnetic ores, with the methods characterized by a negative correlation in which magnetic matrices constructed with grooved plates having larger pitches are used for the separation of ultrafine particles.
