20170029308 · 2017-02-02 ·

A side-stream particle precipitator system for the breakdown and removal of bio-materials and suspended solids in water cooling systems using a plurality of ionizer treatment units utilizing electric and electro-magnetic fields and a mechanical vortex precipitating system to remove particulate materials contained in the water complex as suspended solids. The system also uses high voltage electrodes for charging the water complex to breakdown laminar flow at the conduit walls to mechanically dislodge any build-up of bio-materials or chemical compounds along the walls resulting in an increase in thermal conductivity.

System and method for counting aerosol particles in atmosphere with respect to each particle size by appropriately setting ratio of flow rate of sample gas and sheath gas in DMA

A maximum number of charges on aerosol particles which are measurement targets is decided as a natural number x equal to or larger than 2. First and second electrical mobility groups are derived based on x. The first group includes electrical mobility Zc(U) and electrical mobilities having voltage values equal to a voltage U multiplied by values from 2 to x respectively, and the second group includes electrical mobilities having respective voltage values equal to voltage U multiplied by irreducible fractions which are coprime to each other among values with regularity. A ratio of flow rate with which range corresponding to the electrical mobilities included in the first group do not interfere with one another and the range corresponding to the electrical mobilities included in the first group and range corresponding to the electrical mobilities included in the mobility group do not interfere with one another is calculated.

Direct air carbon capture system

An ionization chamber is provided with a series of parallel plates spaced from each other and with holes passing therethrough. Alternating plates have either a highest high voltage or a lower high voltage provided thereto, such as through a DC transformer coupled to an electric power source. Holes in alternating plates are preferably offset so that airflow through the plates occurs along curving pathways. The plates are sufficiently highly charged to cause carbon dioxide to be ionized and for carbon ions to become trapped within wells defining lowest regions of electric charge within an electric field inside the ionization chamber. Fans control airflow through the ionization chamber. A dehumidifier is provided upstream of the ionization chamber to reduce moisture content within the incoming gas. After the carbon has collected within the wells, harvesting of the carbon ions as carbon nano particle powder can occur within a carbon cache.
