Exchangeable separation insert and modular centrifugal separator
An exchangeable separation insert and a modular centrifugal separator are disclosed. The insert includes a rotatable rotor casing and a first stationary portion. The rotor casing delimits a separation space and includes frustoconical separation discs. The first stationary portion is biased in a first direction away from the rotor casing along an axial direction.

ROTOR FOR CENTRIFUGE AND CENTRIFUGE
When this centrifuge is operated, local stress applied to a liquid-feeding groove formed in the upper surface of a rotor core is averaged to minimize deformation of the rotor core. A rotor core, which is mounted inside a rotor used for continuous centrifugation, has a columnar solid section, blades expanding radially outward from the solid section, and a disc section extending radially outward from the upper surface of the solid section, the upper surface of the rotor core being provided with a liquid-feeding grove that continues radially outward from the center vicinity to the outer side. A stress-mitigating groove that extends radially outward is formed in the lower surface of the liquid-feeding grove. The stress-mitigating groove is formed in a position overlapping the position of the liquid-feeding grove when the disc section is viewed along the axial direction.
Centrifuge rotor with locking levers providing visual indication of cover closure
A centrifuge rotor (10) includes a closure (32) between a lower part (12) of the centrifuge rotor (10) and a cover (14). The centrifuge rotor has been improved such that proper single-handed operation is made possible. In particular, the closure (32) can be closed and detached again using just one hand. The cover (14) includes a circular cut-out (20) for fastening the centrifuge rotor (10) in a centrifuge. The cover (14) is attached to the lower part (12) by levers having a concave shaping (66). The cover (14) and the levers cooperate to provide a visual indication whether the cover is properly closed.

Rotor plate and bucket assembly and method for using same
A rotor assembly includes a rotor plate to rotate around a first axis; a bucket rotatably attached to the rotor plate and to rotate around a second axis; and a stop plate to rotate around the first axis relative to the rotor plate between an open position and a closed position, when in the closed position, the stop plate is to engage the bucket to fix an angular position of the bucket relative to a plane of rotation of the rotor assembly.

Centrifugal separation chamber
Disclosed is a centrifugal separation chamber (100) rotatable about an axis (AR) and having a variable volume separation space (116) therewithin and a port (102) in fluid communication with the volume for filling and emptying the volume, the chamber including a relatively rigid portion (104) proximal to the port which has walls defining a part of the volume and arranged to provide reducing dimensions of the volume toward the port, the chamber further including a flexible portion (106) distal to the port for providing said variable volume, the flexible portion including a mechanical interface (110) for transmitting movement to the flexible portion to cause said variable volume.

Filter sub-assembly
There is provided a filter sub-assembly that comprises a rotary vessel having a rotor body and a closure member to close an opening of the rotor body. The sub-assembly further comprises a liner that is receivable within the rotor body to line an inner surface thereof. The liner is also fluidly sealable to the closure member by a centrifugal force directed radially outwardly from an axis of rotation, about which the rotary vessel is rotatable. The sub-assembly has particular application in a centrifugal filter of a motor vehicle, for example for cleaning engine oil in an engine lubrication system.
