Adjustable discharger ram spacing
A centrifuge discharger including a discharger subassembly having multiple wear plates, each wear plate having a receptacle of lateral dimensions set by the internal surfaces of the multiple wear plates The centrifuge also has multiple backing plates laterally positioned around the external surfaces of the wear plates, and at least one spacing mechanism passing through part if the discharger subassembly near the external surface of the multiple wear plate. The discharger includes a discharger shoe assembly joined to the discharger subassembly by the discharger ram, the discharger ram being able to position the discharger shoe assembly.

Centrifugal separator with cones divided into angular sectors separated by annular gaps
The rotary bowl (1) of this centrifugal separator is lined with conical structures divided into sectors (7) separated by angularly offset gaps (9) so as to promote a regular spiral fluid flow therein, which is laminar and enhances separation efficiency significantly: in the case of two-phase or three-phase suspensions, a cake is obtained on the side wall (8). A scraper (15) rotating at a slightly different speed may be added to enable simultaneously routing of the solid cake to the outlet and continuous processing.

CENTRIFUGE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SAID CENTRIFUGE
A centrifuge includes a rotatably mounted drum, a drive motor, a drum shell made of metal and a vertical axis of rotation. The drum has a feed tube, a paring chamber with a paring disk for leading away clarified or separated liquid, and a solids discharge. The drum has, above the paring chamber, at least two sealing chambers, which lie one axially above the other and which each have a sealing disk protruding into the respective sealing chamber. The centrifuge includes at least one supply channel for supplying a sealing medium to one of the sealing chambers or includes, for each sealing chamber, at least one supply channel for supplying a sealing medium to the respective sealing chamber.
Method for lowering the pressure inside the hood interior of a separator arrangement
A method for lowering the pressure inside the hood interior of a separator arrangement with a separator with a rotatable drum includes rotating the rotatable drum about a vertical rotation axis. Before processing a product that is to be processed, a liquid is first directed through the drum and the pressure inside the hood interior is lowered, by a device, as a result of rotations of the drum in the manner of a jet pump. After the pressure inside the hood interior has been lowered sufficiently, then the actual processing of the product that is to be processed is performed.
Centrifugation device with adjustable vanes
The invention relates to a device for drawing off fluid of a centrifugation device, particularly for separating at least one fluid, with a disk (10) with channels (12, 12). It is characterized by adjustable vanes. This allows to change the property of the disk and thus treat liquids with different properties without disassembling the separator. Therefore there is no dead time during working time and an easy adjustment of the disk.
SOLID-LIQUID SEPARATOR
A solid-liquid separator for separating a solid phase from a liquid phase in a solid-liquid mixture is provided. The solid-liquid separator includes a basket and filter assembly housed coaxially within a tank such that when the basket and filter assembly rotates the liquid phase moves through the filter of the basket and filter assembly into the tank and is discharged from the solid-liquid separator. The solid phase is retained on the filter of the basket and filter assembly and travels vertically up the filter of the basket and filter assembly where it is discharged from the solid-liquid separator.
Method for discharging a heavier liquid phase by adjusting a discharge radius based on a viscosity of the heavier liquid phase
A method for the continuous processing of a product such as a vegetable or animal oil or fat. The processing occurs via a separation into two liquid phases and a solid phase. The method step includes processing the product, the processing occurring in a centrifuge arranged as a separator, the separator including a rotatable drum, a disk stack having risers arranged in the drum, a product feed having a feed tube, a first separator disk to discharge a lighter liquid phase from the drum, a second separator disk to discharge a heavier liquid phase from the drum, and a solids discharge opening to discharge a solids phase from the drum. A separation zone is formed between the lighter phase and the heavier phase in the separator.
EFFICIENT METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR RECOVERY OF PRODUCTS FROM ORGANIC ACID PRETREATMENT OF PLANT MATERIALS
The invention is directed to compositions and processes concerning efficient downstream processing of products derived from organic acids pretreatment of plant materials.
