TURBINE ENGINE HANGER
A hanger for a turbine engine can include a first surface confronting a cooling airflow, a second surface facing a heated airflow, and a third surface radially outward of the first surface. The hanger can also include a cyclonic separator with a dirty air inlet and a clean air outlet, as well as a cooling air circuit extending through the cyclonic separator.
Cyclone for separation of gas-liquid mixture, and a refrigerant accumulator containing this cyclone
The present solution provides a cyclone for separation of gas-liquid mixtures, particularly suitable for a refrigerant accumulator or an accumulator with an internal heat exchanger in a vehicle air conditioning system using carbon dioxide as refrigerant, including an inlet of the gas-liquid mixture and a body of the cyclone with an inlet chamber, an outlet chamber, and at least one stationary vane in the form of a helix to ensure rotation of the mixture in the cyclone outlet chamber, where the gas-liquid mixture inlet is arranged substantially coaxially with the axis of the cyclone and opens directly into the inlet chamber of the cyclone body. The solution further provides a refrigerant accumulator and an accumulator with an integrated internal heat exchanger which includes the cyclone according to the invention.
Apparatus with axially movable wall member for separating components of a fluid stream
A centrifugal separator apparatus for separating components of a fluid stream; the apparatus comprising a support structure and a centrifugal separator unit rotatably mounted on the support structure so as to be rotatable about a rotational axis extending through the centrifugal separator unit; a drive element for driving rotation of the centrifugal separator unit; wherein the centrifugal separator unit comprises a centrifugal separation chamber having an inlet which is connected or connectable to a source of fluid requiring separation, a first outlet for collecting a higher density component of the fluid stream, and a second outlet for collecting a lower density component of the fluid stream; the first outlet being connected or connectable to a first collector for collecting the higher density component and the second outlet being connected or connectable to a second collector for collecting the lower density component; the centrifugal separation chamber comprising a curved or inclined guide surface for guiding flow of the fluid from the inlet in a radially outward direction; wherein the centrifugal separator unit is provided with a wall member which is axially movable to provide a selected degree of occlusion of the first outlet and thereby control flow of the higher density component through the first outlet.
Variable inertial particle separator
Inertial particle separators having an axially translating or a deformable poppet component are described. The poppet component axially translates to accommodate a wide range of flowrates through the inertial particle separator. In some arrangements, the poppet component is biased by a spring towards a closed or restricted position. The variable flowrate and constriction provided by the poppet maintains a substantially constant pressure drop and separation efficiency during operation across a wide range of flowrates through the separators.
Swirling flow generator for gas-liquid separation
A swirling flow generator for gas-liquid separation includes a swirling flow generating ribbon for swirling a gas-liquid two-phase fluid flowing through a pipe to guide a liquid toward an inner surface of the pipe by centrifugal force. A terminal end of the swirling flow generating ribbon where the gas-liquid two-phase fluid is to flow out includes a first terminal edge and a second terminal edge. The first and second terminal edges connect a first terminal end point, a second terminal end point, and a middle terminal end point. The first terminal end point is in a first of radially outward ends and the second terminal end point is in a second of the radially outward ends. The middle terminal end point is closer to a side where the gas-liquid two-phase fluid is to flow in than the first and second terminal end points and is on an axial line.
GAS-LIQUID SEPARATOR
A gas-liquid separator includes an inlet pipe through which a gas-liquid two-phase fluid flows and a swirling flow generating ribbon disposed within the inlet pipe to swirl the gas-liquid two-phase fluid along an inner surface of the inlet pipe, wherein the inner surface of the inlet pipe includes a first step surface at a location downstream of a flow direction of the gas-liquid two-phase fluid from the swirling flow generating ribbon, the first step surface increasing an inner diameter of the inlet pipe downward thereof.
Demister
The present invention discloses a novel demister, comprising at least one demisting unit; wherein the demisting unit comprises a glow guide cylinder, a cyclone blade group mounted at a gas inlet of the glow guide cylinder and a liquid collection cylinder arranged outside the flow guide cylinder, wherein the liquid collection cylinder is provided with at least one glow guide cylinder, a water permeable structure is arranged on a side wall of the flow guide cylinder, and a gap is defined between an outer wall face of the flow guide cylinder and an inner wall face of the liquid collection cylinder and an interlayer chamber is formed.
Gas-liquid separator
A gas-liquid separator includes an inlet pipe and an inner pipe. The inlet pipe receives a swirling flow generating ribbon, and includes an exhaust port through which a separated gas flows out and a drain port through which a separated liquid flows out. The outer diameter of the inner pipe is smaller than the inner diameter of the inlet pipe. An end of the inner pipe is inserted into the exhaust port and is open at a location downstream of the swirling flow generating ribbon. A terminal end of the swirling flow generating ribbon includes a first terminal edge and a second terminal edge. The first and second terminal edges connect a first terminal end point, a second terminal end point, and a middle terminal end point.
Surface cleaning apparatus
A surface cleaning apparatus such as an extractor has an upright section moveably mounted to a surface cleaning head. The upright section comprises a first stage liquid separator and a second stage cyclone separator, wherein the liquid collection container and the solid collection chamber are emptyable concurrently.
