A housing for a handheld vacuum cleaner includes a suction opening, a cyclone chamber, and a helical passage. The suction opening is defined in the housing. The cyclone chamber is in fluid communication with the suction opening. The helical passage includes a first end, a second end, and at least one sidewall. The first end is in fluid communication with the suction opening. The second end is in fluid communication with the cyclone chamber. The at least one sidewall extends between the first end and the second end. The at least one sidewall separates the helical passage from the cyclone chamber.

CYCLONIC AIR FILTRATION EQUIPMENT
The invention relates to an air filtration bank (100) and an air filtration system (50) for removing grit or impurities from an airstream using a plurality of cyclonic air classifiers (10) arranged in 2×2 arrays in each air filtration bank (100). The system (50) comprises a plurality of interconnected, modular air filtration banks (100) arranged side-by-side and a grit collecting chute (5). In order to improve airflow efficiency and particle separation, each cyclonic air classifier (10) includes a vortex-inducing inlet duct (13), an extraction pipe (16) and a conical diffuser (15). The conical diffusers (15) of upper and lower cyclonic air classifiers are of different lengths such that their respective waste outlets are not coplanar which serves to limit waste outlet flow interference and results in less pressure drop across the air filtration bank, which in turn leads to more efficient particle removal.

Cyclonic air treatment member and surface cleaning apparatus including the same
A cyclonic air treatment member comprises a cyclone and a dirt collection chamber external to the cyclone chamber. The cyclone chamber extends longitudinally in an axial direction between a cyclone first end and a cyclone second end. The cyclone chamber includes an axially extending dirt outlet. A removable dirt outlet insert member may be removably receivable by a portion of the dirt outlet.
PRECLEANER ARRANGEMENT FOR USE IN AIR FILTRATION AND METHODS
A precleaner arrangement for separating a portion of entrained material from air flow air entering an engine air cleaner. The precleaner arrangement includes a precleaner housing and at least a first flexible air deflection vane with a fixed portion secured to the precleaner housing and a deflectable portion. The deflectable portion includes a curved section extending from the fixed portion and a tail section extending from the curved section. The deflectable portion is configured to deflect in response to a sufficient air flow rate change through the precleaner arrangement, in use. Some arrangements will also include a second stage, outlet vane assembly.
Cyclonic Fluid Separator
Provided is a cyclonic fluid separator, method of fluid separation, and a method of installing a cyclonic fluid separator. The cyclonic fluid separator includes a throat portion arranged between a converging fluid inlet section and a diverging fluid outlet section including an inner primary outlet for condensables depleted fluid components and an outer secondary outlet for condensables enriched fluid components. A central body extends along a central axis of the cyclonic fluid separator through at least part of the inlet section of the separator. The central body has, at a location upstream of the throat portion, a larger outer width than a smallest inner width of the throat portion; swirl imparting means arranged in the inlet section for creating a swirling motion of the fluid within at least part of the separator. The swirl imparting means are adjustable; and an adjusting mechanism configured for adjusting the swirl imparting means for varying the swirling motion of the fluid.

FILTER TUBE HOLDING GROMMET FOR FILTRATION SYSTEM
A dust filtering and collection system for filtering dust and other particles from an air stream generally being used for conveying granular material into or from a bulk tank, with the filtering system designed to incorporate structure, such as a specially designed grommet, for holding a porous filter tube for filtering out such dust particles, with a grommet having structure to provide for its interlocking and engagement with and through an aperture in a transverse plate within the system. The grommet has an upper flange, that engages the upper surface of the transverse plate, and has an inner flange for engagement with the upper edge of the filter tube, while the bottom of the grommet has resilient fingers and associated detents for engaging the bottom of the transverse plate, to furnish an interlocking of the grommet, with its supported filter tube, onto and through the transverse plate.
