A CENTRIFUGAL SEPARATOR
A centrifugal separator for separation of liquid particles from a gas stream includes a stationary frame, a gas inlet and a gas outlet. The frame includes a tubular element defining a rotor space inside itself and a liquid transportation space outside the tubular element. A centrifugal rotor is arranged in the rotor space and is rotatably supported in the frame around a rotational axis and including a separator. A stationary device is configured to bring the gas stream in rotation, thereby bringing the rotor into rotation. At least one opening is provided in the tubular element, between the rotor space and the liquid transportation space, for conducting liquid separated from the gas stream from the rotor space to the liquid transportation space.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REMOVAL OF GAS BUBBLES FROM FLUID
A system and method for removing gas bubbles from fluid. An active filter apparatus forces the bubbles to the center of the filter, while a pump supplies fluid to the filter.
Flow development chamber and separator
A fluid handling and separation system has an inlet conduit for receiving a helical fluid flow, a housing connected to the inlet conduit, a collection conduit disposed within the housing in axially alignment with the inlet conduit, and a diversion conduit in fluid communication with the interior of the housing. The housing encloses the collection conduit to form an annular space between the interior surface of the housing and an exterior surface of the collection conduit. Upon receiving a helical flow via the inlet conduit, a radially outward portion of the helical flow is separated from a radially inner portion of the helical flow. The radially outward portion of the helical flow is diverted through the diversion conduit while the radially inward portion of the helical flow is received by the collection conduit. Such a system allows for separating the helical fluid flow by density of materials or fluids within the helical fluid flow.
Device for collecting material from air
A device collects material from air. The device swirls air within a fluid housing so as to deposit the material, such as viruses, bacteria, fungi and other particles, from the air in a way that the material can later be analyzed. The device can be used to provide for detection of airborne organisms or properties of material in the air.
Method and apparatus for removal of gas bubbles from blood
A system and method for removing gas bubbles from blood during circulatory assist procedures. An active filter apparatus forces the bubbles to the center of the system where they are removed from the blood before the blood exits the filter.
SYSTEM, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING LIQUIDS WITH WAVE ENERGY FROM PLASMA
The present invention provides a system, method and apparatus for treating a liquid by providing a santitary type stainless steel hydrocyclone, flowing the liquid through the hydrocyclone, and turning on a plasma torch attached to the hydrocyclone such that a plasma arc irradiates the liquid. The hydrocyclone can be a forward flow hydrocyclone, a reverse flow hydrocyclone, a through flow hydrocyclone, a hydrocyclone pump or a volute.
METHODS OF COLLECTING AND ANALYZING MATERIALS FROM GASEOUS FLUIDS
A device collects material from air. The device swirls air within a fluid housing so as to deposit the material, such as viruses, bacteria, fungi and other particles, from the air in a way that the material can later be analyzed. The device can be used to provide for detection of airborne organisms or properties of material in the air.
HYDROCYCLONE CONTACTOR FOR CARBON DIOXIDE REMOVAL
The present invention relates to a hydrocyclone contactor module for use in gas purification. In particular, the present invention relates to a CO.sub.2 removing hydrocyclone contactor module, a system comprising one more CO.sub.2 removing hydrocyclone contactor modules as defined herein, a method of removing CO.sub.2 from gas using the hydrocyclone contactor module, a method of retrofitting the hydrocyclone contactor module or system comprising the hydrocyclone contactor module into a submarine atmospheric control system, and a submarine comprising the hydrocyclone contactor module or system comprising the hydrocyclone contactor module. In a one aspect, the present invention relates to a module for removing CO.sub.2 from gas, the module comprising: a hydrocyclone having a cyclonic cone section constructed from a gas-permeable and liquid-impermeable membrane; an inlet to the cyclonic cone section; and an outlet at the apex of the cyclonic cone section.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FOUR DIMENSIONALLY SEPARATING MATERIALS
This application discloses a separator for separating and recovering materials from a waste stream. The separator has a cyclone having a top section and a bottom section, an impeller within the cyclone, a media inlet for accepting a flow of media or a pulsating flow of the media operatively connected to the impeller in which media or fluid flows through the impeller into the separator; a first discharge passage for a collecting a light fraction, and a second discharge passage for collecting a heavy fraction.
CLEANER
The present disclosure relates to a cleaner including a dust separating part configured to separate dust from air sucked through a suction part, and a suction motor configured to provide a flow force to air, and a dust bin configured to accommodate the dust separating part therein and store dust separated by the dust separating part, in which the dust separating part includes at least one cyclone unit configured to separate dust from air by means of a cyclone flow, the cyclone unit has a vane provided inside a cyclone body and configured to guide a flow of air, and a slit into which air is introduced is formed in an outer peripheral surface of the cyclone body, such that a force for sucking air may be increased, and dust separation performance may also be improved.
