Surface cleaning apparatus

A surface cleaning apparatus, such as an extractor, has a separation stage comprising a separator and a separated liquid container in communication with a separated element outlet of the separator. When the surface cleaning apparatus is in a vertical orientation, the separated liquid container has a first portion underlying the separator, a second portion laterally spaced from the first portion and positioned below the separator and a third portion positioned above the second portion, and the third portion has a volume that is at least 80% of a volume of the first portion.

Accelerating Cyclone that Separates Solids Particles

The present invention refers to an accelerating cyclone that separates solid particles, comprising in its general structure a lower conical body (1) (17A and 17B), comprising a lower opening (18), a central cylindrical body (2) immediately above the conical body (1) whose diameter is smaller than the largest diameter of the conical body cone (1), and a third upper, also cylindrical, body (3) of smaller diameter than the diameter of the central cylindrical body (2), comprising a side opening for the acceleration air output (5); where the cylindrical central body (2) allows to accelerate the speed of the solid material particles and is the cyclone pressure chamber; and where said cylindrical central body (2) comprises a side opening for the acceleration air input (8) and at least one duct (9).

Vacuum installation

A vacuum installation includes a vacuum chamber having an inlet for aspirating a quantity of liquid or particulate material. A cyclone separation unit having a plurality of cyclones, communicating in parallel with the interior of the vacuum chamber is connected to a vacuum pump to draw air from the vacuum chamber through the cyclones and induce a separating vortex flow within the cyclones. A controller is arranged to control the vacuum pump to provide a chosen flow rate and to selectively deactivate one or more of the cyclones according to the chosen flow rate.

Cyclone dust collector

Provided is a cyclone dust collector with a higher particle collection efficiency than before. The cyclone dust collector includes an inner wall being arranged on an edge portion of a first cross section defined by a plane containing a center axis of the cylindrical case and part of the spiral flow path intersecting with each other and being adapted to make the part of the flow path narrower and a first nozzle that sprays the water mist toward the air passing through a constricted part being part of the spiral flow path made narrower by the inner wall.

Fluid separator device

A device for separating and extracting suspended solids and particles from a fluid is shown. The device can include a hydro-cyclonic process unit, a variable geometry vortex process unit, a reverse coalescence and flocculation process unit and a fixed geometry vortices separator process unit. The fluid to be treated can enter the device through a fluid inlet and travel and recirculate through the several process units. The process units can collectively induce vorticose separation of the fluid and separate suspended solids and particles within the fluid. The suspended solids and particles can then be extracted from the device via one or more extraction fluid outlets. After the desired amount of suspended solids and particles has been removed, the processed fluid can be discharged from the device.

Surface cleaning apparatus

A surface cleaning apparatus has a surface cleaning head having a hard floor cleaning brush and a carpet cleaning brush, wherein the surface cleaning apparatus is operable in a hard floor cleaning configuration in which a liquid is delivered from at least one nozzle to the soft brush bar, and the surface cleaning apparatus is operable in a carpet cleaning configuration in which a liquid is delivered from at least one nozzle to the carpet cleaning brush.

Surface cleaning apparatus

A surface cleaning apparatus such as an extractor has a solid and liquid separation stage comprising a combined solid and liquid separator having a separated element outlet and, a solid and liquid collection chamber in communication with the separated element outlet. The solid and liquid separation chamber includes a screen provided therein, when the surface cleaning apparatus is in a floor cleaning orientation, the solid and liquid collection chamber has a lower region comprising a liquid collection region whereby, in operation, liquid passes through the screen and solid material collects on the screen.

Surface cleaning apparatus

A surface cleaning apparatus, such as an extractor, has a separated liquid reservoir wherein the separated liquid reservoir includes a liquid sequestering member.

Domestic cyclonic vacuum cleaner

A cyclonic vacuum cleaner including a suction inlet fluidly connected in series to a vac-motor for drawing a dirty airflow in through the suction inlet. The suction inlet is fluidly connected downstream to both a first cyclonic separator and to a flow device via a flow junction, the flow junction configured for dividing the dirty airflow into two separate airflows, a first airflow passing through the first cyclonic separator and a second airflow passing through the flow device, thus stepping down the dirty airflow through the first separator compared to the dirty airflow through the suction inlet. The flow device is either a second cyclonic separator, an air filter or an air turbine. A screening member is upstream of the flow device for screening out dirt particles from the second airflow so that the dirt particles are retained in the first airflow, thus concentrating dust loading in the first airflow.
