In addition, the joint ring 20 is equipped with: a first chamber 230 that connects a first discharge port 212 and a second intake port 221, and is formed between the joint ring body 21 and the insulating member 23; and a second chamber 240 formed between the cover member 22 and the insulating member 23.

Disclosed herein is a foamable resin composition for a foam sheet including polylactic acid resin particles, each of the particles having a particle size of about 1 m to about 100 m. A process for preparing a particulate polylactic acid resin includes: introducing a polylactic acid resin and then forming a molten polylactic acid spray solution; and injecting the molten polylactic acid spray solution by a melt spray method and simultaneously cooling the molten polylactic acid spray solution to obtain a particulate polylactic acid. In addition, disclosed herein is a process for preparing a foam sheet using the foamable resin composition for a foam sheet including a polylactic acid resin.

Electrostatic spraying system

A lubricant dispensing system having particular utility for applying a tightly controlled thin line of lubricant about the perimeter of cans as they are processed. The lubricant dispensing system includes an electrostatic spray head having a nozzle body that defines a lubricant receiving chamber for electrically charging lubricant therein and a capillary tube supported by the nozzle body having an inlet end communicating with the lubricant receiving chamber and an outlet that defines a discharge orifice of the electrostatic spray head. The capillary tube has a diameter between about 0.2 and 0.3 inches for directing electrostatically charged lubricant onto an item to be lubricated in a controlled thin line having a width no greater than 0.125 inches. The electrode is adjustably positionable relative to the capillary tube for selectively controlling the rate of discharging lubricant, and the electrode is configured for enhancing electrostatic charging of lubricant through the capillary tube.

In particular, spray system arrangements are described that are configured to meet the goals of high quality nanoparticle deposition on a substrate with minimal waste of costly nanoparticle material. More particularly, a nanoparticle spray system is described herein that includes: a spray nozzle configured to emit a nanoparticle-laden spray flow; a conveyed substrate configured to be conveyed at a velocity; and a controller configured to operate in a feedback loop such that nanoparticles of the nanoparticle-laden spray flow are controllably deposited on a surface of the conveyed substrate.

Discharge device and hair care device

A discharge device includes a discharge electrode, a counter electrode that faces the discharge electrode in a first direction, and voltage application unit that applies an application voltage between the discharge electrode and the counter electrode. The counter electrode includes a dome-shaped electrode having a recessed inner surface recessed to a side opposite to the discharge electrode in the first direction, and a protruding electrode that protrudes in a second direction intersecting the first direction from an opening edge of an opening of the dome-shaped electrode, the opening being provided at an end opposite to the discharge electrode. The discharge device forms a discharge path having at least partial dielectric breakdown between the discharge electrode and the protruding electrode, when the discharge occurs. The discharge path includes a first dielectric breakdown region generated around the discharge electrode and a second dielectric breakdown region generated around the protruding electrode.
