INSERT ASSEMBLY FOR FOAMING DEVICE
An insert assembly for a foam generating device includes a first insert and a second insert with a channel defined therethrough. Inserts may be formed by two shell halves that are coupleable to one another to define the channel. A plurality of ribs extends along an interior surface of the channel. Pad structures defined by porous media are provided in the channel and gripped by the plurality of ribs. The pads receive cleaning solution passing through the channel and cause foam to be generated by breaking-up the cleaning solution and agitating. The ribs may be arranged horizontally relative to a longitudinal axis of the insert assembly and retain the pads within the device. Inserts may be arranged in series along a longitudinal axis of the foam generating device with the pad structures arranged within the channel.
Self-foaming hot melt adhesive compositions and methods of making and using same
The present invention relates to self-foaming hot melt adhesive compositions and methods of making and using the same. Self-foaming hot melt adhesive compositions are formed by admixing a dispersion concentrate including a chemical blowing agent and a compatible carrier (liquid or molten) with a molten base hot melt adhesive composition at a temperature below the decomposition temperature of the chemical blowing agent. The resolidified material is processed through a device that heats the material above the decomposition temperature of the chemical agent and cools it below such temperature before being dispensed. The device preferably includes sensors and a controller configured to prevent the material from accumulating an adverse thermal history during processing.
DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR GENERATING AND DELIVERING LATHER
The present invention discloses a system for generating lather comprising a device comprising: a capsule compartment configured to receive at least one capsule; said capsule comprising at least one lather-generating raw material; a liquid source configured to provide at least one liquid; a lather mixing cell configured to generate lather from said at least one lather-generating raw material and said at least one liquid; a temperature modulator configured to provide lather at a chosen temperature; a receptacle configured to receive said generated lather; and a capsule comprising at least one lather-generating raw material.
SPRAY GUN
A swivel connector for a spray gun includes a first portion, the first portion including a first interior passage that extends entirely through the first portion along a longitudinal axis and a second a second interior passage that extends along a first axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The swivel connector also includes a second portion coupled to the first portion, the second portion including a third interior passage that extends entirely through the second portion along the longitudinal axis, and a fourth interior passage that extends along a second axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The swivel connector also includes a connector pin coupled to both the first portion and the second portion, wherein the connector pin includes a fifth interior passage that extends along the longitudinal axis.
Fluid Dispensing Device
The invention pertains generally to an improved fluid dispensing device, particularly a dispensing device which employs at least one hemispherical domed cannister source of reactants and which uses a color-changing dispensing plastic tip to inform the end-user if the reactants are at a proper use temperature.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MANUFACTURING FOAM WALL STRUCTURES
Methods for manufacturing foam wall structures are described. The methods include placing a wall structure proximate to a robotic arm, orienting an imaging device so that the imaging device on the robotic arm faces a cavity in the wall structure, surveying the cavity using the imaging device, determining a spray foaming pattern to fill the cavity to a selected depth with a foam layer, orienting the spray nozzle so the spray nozzle faces the cavity, and spray-applying the foam-forming composition into the cavity to the selected depth by passing the foam-forming composition through the spray nozzle to form the foam layer. Foam wall structure manufacturing systems that are suitable for carrying out such methods are also described.
WEED CONTROL
Vegetation such as a weed (45) may be controlled by generating a foam comprising air and an aqueous solution comprising a surfactant; dispensing the foam so as to coat at least a base part of the weed that is to be controlled; and then injecting hot water into the foam (46) so as to contact the weed (45) below or within the coating of foam (46) The hot water causes the weed (45) to wilt and die, while the foam (46) suppresses heat loss from the hot water. The method may be carried out using a portable tool (10) which includes an air blower (14), a container (20) of a concentrate for the aqueous solution, a foam-generating tube (24) ending in an open-topped chute (26). The hot water may be provided through a flexible hose (22) from an external boiler (23), and after being used to produce the foam (46), the hot water be sprayed onto the top end of the chute (26).
FOAMING COMPOSITION COMPRISING OIL
The present invention relates to a foaming composition comprising: (a) at least one cationic polysaccharide; (b) at least one crosslinker having three or more acid groups or salt thereof; (c) at least one oil; and (d) at least one physiologically acceptable volatile medium, wherein the amount of the (c) oil(s) in the composition is 10% by weight or more, preferably 15% by weight or more, and more preferably 20% by weight or more, relative to the total weight of the composition. The composition according to the present invention can form a foam which is stable over time.
Systems and methods for pump slip sensing
A system includes a fluid pump and a first pressure sensor disposed on or near an inlet of the fluid pump. The system further includes a second pressure sensor disposed on or near an outlet of the fluid pump and a control system. The control system includes a processor configured to receive a first signal from the first pressure sensor. The processor is further configured to receive a second signal from the second pressure sensor, and to derive a pump slip measure based on the first signal and the second signal.
