A portable system is provided for use with one or more painting or coating spray guns. The system includes a system case, the case being liftable, towable and transportable by helicopter or truck. The case contains storage for one or more coating or paint cartridges, the storage being heatable to maintain cartridges at a predetermined temperature, an independent power source and an independent source of compressed air. The system is operable by a single user and usable in connection with one or more painting or coating spray guns for remote site painting and coating operations. A method of performing painting and coating operations in a remote site is also provided.

The systems of the present disclosure provide a deformable container and a method of dispensing wherein, during dispensing, an actuation member is continuously free of contact with the fluid or substance within the container and the actuation member only contacts the exterior surface of the deformable container.

The hopper module includes a hopper frame and a hopper supported by the hopper frame. The power module includes a drive and a pump connected to and configured to be powered by the drive. The pump interfaces with the hopper with the power module mounted on the hopper frame such that the pump can draw material from the hopper.

MATERIAL SPRAY GUN

A spray gun includes a gun body and valves configured to control flow of material and air through the gun body. A trigger is mounted to the gun body and is disposed relative to the valves such that the trigger actuates the valves in sequence to begin air flow and material flow. A sensor senses when the trigger is in an actuated state and the sensor causes a pump to begin pumping material to the spray gun. Release of the trigger causes the trigger to leave the actuated state. A detent mechanism holes the trigger in a detent state intermediate the actuated state and a resting state. The sensor does not sense the trigger with the trigger in the detent state. The trigger maintains the valves open with the trigger in the detent state.
