ELECTROSTATIC SPRAYER

An electrostatic sprayer includes a spray gun having a nozzle at which pressurized spray media and pressurized air are combined into an atomized mixture. A generator electrostatically charges the atomized mixture at the nozzle. The generator may also electrostatically charge the pressurized spray media, or the pressurized air, or both at the nozzle. An input device of the spray gun is actuable by a user to vary a flow of the pressurized spray media to the nozzle. A main unit is connected to the spray gun with a hose via which the pressurized spray media and the pressurized air are communicated to the spray gun. The main unit has a first power mode in which a battery powers component(s) of the electrostatic sprayer. The main unit also has a second power mode in which a power source spaced apart from the main unit powers the component(s) of the electrostatic sprayer.

A steam effect nozzle includes a housing section configured to receive a fluid having a mixture of steam and liquid condensate and baffles disposed in the housing section. The baffles are configured to separate the steam of the fluid from the liquid condensate of the fluid, enable the steam to travel from a first end wall of the housing section to a second end wall of the housing section, and bias the liquid condensate of the fluid toward a sloped lower surface of the housing section, the sloped lower surface sloping downwardly from the second end wall toward the first end wall. The steam effect nozzle also includes a nozzle outlet adjacent to the second end wall of the housing section, where the nozzle outlet is configured to output the steam to an external environment.

Predetermining the thickness of a coating

A method for predetermining a thickness of a coating which is to be arranged on a substrate is provided. A spray spot is arranged on a surface of the substrate or a test substrate. The volume of the spray spot is determined, and based on the determined volume, the thickness of a layer which is to be applied is worked out. An arrangement for predetermining the thickness of a coating is further provided.

Method for automatic glue-spraying of stringer and inspection of glue-spraying quality

A method for automatic glue-spraying of stringers and inspection of glue-spraying quality based on measured data. Three-dimensional (3D) point cloud data of a stringer-skin assembly is collected by 3D laser scanner, and then processed by denoising and sampling. Feature points of an intersection line of a site to be glued of the stringer-skin assembly are extracted by K-means clustering method based on Gaussian mapping, and a minimum spanning tree is constructed based on a set of the extracted feature points. A connected region is established to obtain an initial feature intersection line of the string-skin assembly, which is optimized by random sample consensus algorithm to remove redundant small branch structures to obtain the actual glue-spraying trajectory. The quality of the glue sprayed on the stringer-skin assembly is inspected by line laser to determine positions of the defects, which are then subjected to secondary glue-spraying.

A spray machine autonomously traverses a roof while selectively spraying and rolling adhesive across the roof. To navigate the roof, the spray machine is most preferably fitted with GPS and other sensors to detect roof features and already coated adhesive. In one embodiment the spray machine has a spray and roll apparatus supported on an undercarriage and propelled by a drive train. Each of the spray nozzles and rollers are preferably supported upon respective boom arms, and reciprocate along the longitudinal axis of the boom arm. Each of the spray and roller boom arms have a longitudinal axis that extends transverse to the spray machine ordinary forward direction of travel. In another embodiment, combination spray and roller boom arms are hinged to the undercarriage, and so may be lifted from horizontal to vertical to avoid obstacles.

DRY BURNING DETECTION METHOD AND APPARATUS, DRY BURNING PROTECTION METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND VAPORIZER

A dry burning detection method, applied to a vaporizer, includes: obtaining vaporization parameters of a vaporization piece in real time, and calculating a variance between the vaporization parameters and a sample mean, the sample mean being a value representing a vaporization parameter level of a stable vaporization stage of the vaporizer; and determining that the vaporization piece is dry-burned if the variance is greater than a preset variance value corresponding to the vaporization parameter, the preset variance value being used for distinguishing a vaporization parameter fluctuation caused by vaporization dry burning and a vaporization parameter fluctuation caused by non-vaporization dry burning.
