Apparatus for Painting Articles
20200038899 · 2020-02-06 ·

An apparatus for painting articles comprises a painting booth delimited by side walls and having at least one inlet opening and an outlet opening reciprocally aligned on two of said respectively opposite side walls. A transport assembly moves a plurality of articles being processed respectively aligned along a movement path extending through the painting booth, to lead the articles being processed therein through the inlet opening and to extract said articles through the outlet opening. The delivery nozzles operatively arranged inside the painting booth deliver atomised paint against the articles transported along the movement path. Adjustment devices comprising adjustment knobs positioned externally of the painting booth and manually accessible by an operator operate on each delivery nozzle to modify its positioning with respect to the articles being processed.

HEAT TRANSFER MEDIA

A heat transfer media that provides more complete and more even use of the media volume by enhancing the characteristics and/or directions of fluid flow across the media. The heat transfer media includes a heat transfer block having one or more layers that include longitudinal flow passages for enabling fluid flow in the longitudinal direction across each layer, and also include transverse flow passage for enabling lateral cross-flow between the longitudinal flow passages. The heat transfer block may include a plurality of stackable plates, with each plate having fins laterally spaced apart to define longitudinally extending channels, and at least one aperture extending transversely through at least one fin for enabling transverse cross-flow between the longitudinal channels. The aperture may be configured as a recessed groove in the fin, and the fin may have ridge portions longitudinally spaced apart to at least partially define the recessed groove.

Apparatus for processing substrate and operating method thereof

Provided is a substrate processing apparatus. The substrate processing apparatus includes a swing nozzle that is arranged on one side of the support module, moves in a swing manner, and sprays a chemical solution to the substrate, a sensor arranged on one side of the swing nozzle to sense movement of the swing nozzle, an electromagnet and a magnet installed on the other side of the swing nozzle so as to be able to adjust spacing relative to each other, and a controller for receiving a sensing result of the sensor and performing a damping operation to the swing nozzle by providing power to the electromagnet to generate an attractive force or repulsive force between the electromagnet and the magnet.

Coating system and associated operating method

The disclosure relates to an operating method for a coating system, in particular for a painting system, for coating components (2), in particular motor vehicle body components (2), having the following steps: conveying, by means of a conveying device (3), the components (2) to be coated in a conveying direction through a coating booth (1), coating the components (2) in the coating booth (1) with a coating product by means of an application device (17-19) which applies a spray jet of the coating product, a portion of the applied coating product being deposited on the components (2) to be coated while another portion of the applied coating product floats into the interior of the coating booth (1) as an excess coating product mist (21), and reducing the excess coating product mist (21) from the interior of the booth by means in addition to or other than the downwardly directed air flow generated by a filter ceiling. In addition, the disclosure includes a correspondingly designed coating system.

ROBOTIC PAINTING BOOTH AND OPERATING METHOD
20190337003 · 2019-11-07 ·

A next generation painting robot with advanced fluid delivery system, enhanced kinematics and a service airlock compartment. The painting robot includes a fluid delivery system which places color changing valves and pumping hardware on the back side of the robot's mounting pedestal, where it can be serviced without a technician having to enter the spray booth. Additionally, the robot enables routine cleaning and maintenance to be performed without personnel entering the spray booth and without stopping the vehicle conveyor, due to simplified outer arm design, improved home positioning and an airlock booth adjacent to the robot pedestal. Service personnel can clean and service the applicator and other components on the outer arm from the airlock booth, while other robots continue painting parts moving on the conveyor, without allowing fume-laden vapors into the operator aisle.

The fluid delivery system also allows smaller and lighter robot arms, and is designed to minimize paint waste and wait time during color changes. This is accomplished by an arrangement of shut off valves and pumps, including a pump for paint and a high-efficiency pump for low viscosity solvent, operating in a sequence to push paint through a minimal-length supply line to the applicator, using almost all of this paint for painting the part, before returning to a cleaning stand and expelling the remaining paint and solvent in the supply line.

The robot also features kinematics providing redundant inner arm rotation. The arm kinematics, along with the smaller arms, a paint supply line routed through the center of first and third arm joints, and optimized motor conductor routing, dramatically improve near reach flexibility. The improved near reach flexibility in turn allows a smaller spray booth than possible with previous robot architectures.
