Edge blackening for optical devices
An optical device coating assembly is provided. The optical device coating assembly includes a substrate support operable to retain an optical device substrate. The coating assembly further includes a first actuator connected to the substrate support. The first actuator is configured to rotate the substrate support. The coating assembly includes a holder configured to hold a coating applicator against an edge of the optical device substrate when the optical device substrate is rotated on the substrate support and a second actuator operable to apply a force on the holder in a direction towards the substrate support. The second actuator is a constant force actuator.
Edge banding machine with detachable adhesive applying mechanism
An edge banding machine includes a foundation, an adhesive applying mechanism, a motor, a chain guide and a chain. The adhesive applying mechanism is detachably attached to foundation and includes an adhesive tank and an adhesive shaft that extends into the adhesive tank and has a lower end provided with a first sprocket. The adhesive shaft draws adhesive from the adhesive tank. The motor is fixed to the foundation and has a power-take-off shaft that has a second sprocket. The chain engages with the first sprocket and the second sprocket. The chain guide is attached to the foundation and has a guide wheel extending into the chain for pushing against the chain, so that the chain can move between a tensioned position and a relaxed position.

Surface Finish Applicator
The present invention relates generally to the field of wall and surface repair tools. The device has an angled member or plate with a housing mounted on the angled member. The housing has one push tab or plunger, an interior space, and a grip area. The interior space, angled member, and a continuous opening are in fluid communication and allow for the finishing material, such as spackle, to flow through the device and onto the damaged wall or surface.
APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR DISPENSING FLOWABLE MATERIALS
An apparatus for dispensing a flowable material is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a rotary actuator, a reservoir, containing a hydraulic fluid, a piston, movable inside the reservoir, a linear actuator, coupled to the piston, a gear train, coupling the rotary actuator with the linear actuator, and a flowable-material dispenser, hydraulically coupled with the reservoir.
Methods for dispensing flowable materials
A method for dispensing a flowable material is disclosed. The method comprises holding a hydraulic fluid in a reservoir at a negative pressure, inserting a cartridge tube, having an interior, into a cartridge housing, locking an over-center mechanism relative to the cartridge housing so that a hermetic seal is created between a plunger and an interior of the cartridge tube and between an end-cap and the interior of the cartridge tube, and turning a rotary actuator in a rotational direction so that a linear actuator advances a piston within the reservoir to transfer at least a portion of the hydraulic fluid from the reservoir to a flowable-material dispenser through the end-cap and into the interior of the cartridge tube, causing the plunger to advance within the cartridge tube in a forward plunger direction, away from the end-cap.
NOZZLE TIP AND METHOD FOR DISPENSING ONTO A PANEL EDGE
Nozzles are provided, for applying setting resins onto the edge of a panel, in some embodiments the cut edge of a panel such as a honeycomb panel. The nozzle comprises a connector portion and an application head, wherein the application head comprises: a) a supporting wall, and b) a curved finish wall joining the supporting wall along an edge at an angle of greater than 92 degrees and less than 120 degrees. In some embodiments, the curved finish wall has a curve radius which remains between 1.0 and 7.0 cm throughout the length of the curved finish wall. In some embodiments, the curved finish wall has a trailing edge profile which is smoothly curved and a leading edge profile which is scalloped. In addition, methods of applying a setting resin onto the edge of a panel are presented.
APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR DISPENSING FLOWABLE MATERIALS
An apparatus (100) for dispensing a flowable material (308) is disclosed. The apparatus (100) comprises a rotary actuator (120), a reservoir (140), containing a hydraulic fluid (155), a piston (145), movable inside the reservoir (140), a linear actuator (130), coupled to the piston (145), a gear train (125), coupling the rotary actuator (120) with the linear actuator (130), and a flowable-material dispenser (160), hydraulically coupled with the reservoir (140).
Nozzle tip and method for dispensing onto a partial cut panel
Nozzles are provided, for applying setting resins onto the edge of a partial cut in a panel, in some embodiments a honeycomb panel. The nozzle comprises a connector portion and an application head, wherein the application head comprises: a) a supporting wall, and b) a finish wall joining the supporting wall along an edge at an angle of 90 degrees or greater and less than 120 degrees. In some embodiments, the finish wall has a trailing edge which has a curved profile wherein the curve radius remains between 1.0 and 7.0 cm throughout the curve. In some embodiments, the finish wall has a leading edge which comprises a block wall which at least partially blocks movement of applied resin beyond the leading edge of the finish wall. In addition, methods of applying a setting resin onto the edge of a partial cut in a panel are provided.
