Lubricant coating device and image forming apparatus
A lubricant coating device preventing coating unevenness of lubricant powders is provided. The lubricant coating device includes a solid lubricant, a coating member and a film shaping member. The coating member in which first fibers composed of a material located on a positive polarity side and second fibers composed of a material located on a negative polarity side, on a triboelectric series with respect to the material of the solid lubricant are implanted, coats lubricant powders scraped off from the solid lubricant onto the image supporter. The film shaping member comes in contact with the image supporter and presses the lubricant powders onto the image supporter, to shape the lubricant powders into a form of a film. A scraping amount of the lubricant powders by the first fibers and a scraping amount of the lubricant powders by the second fibers are set to become substantially identical.

APPLICATION MECHANISM AND APPLICATION APPARATUS
An application mechanism according to one embodiment of the present invention serves as an application mechanism that applies an application material onto a substrate using an application needle. The application mechanism according to one embodiment of the present invention includes: a holder base; a slide mechanism attached to an inside of the holder base; an application needle fixing member, to which the application needle is attached, the application needle fixing member being supported by the slide mechanism so as to be slidable in an extending direction of the application needle; and a position holding mechanism that holds a relative position of the application needle fixing member with respect to the slide mechanism.
Method for coating a surface of a metal strip and a metal strip-coating device
A method for coating a surface of a substrate may involve coating the surface of the substrate with a wet coating by way of a coating station, conveying the substrate by way of a conveying device, and detecting the surface coated with the wet coating by producing a thermal image of a detection region that comprises part of the surface. The thermal image may be recorded in a spectral range that includes a wavelength between 1 micrometer and 20 micrometers. Further, the detection region may be located directly downstream of the coating station, or the detection region may at least partially include the coating station.
ANALYTIC SUBSTRATE COATING APPARATUS AND METHOD
An apparatus and method for producing a coated analytic substrate using a compact and portable automated instrument located in the laboratory setting at the point of use which can consistently produce one or a plurality of coated analytic substrates on demand for using the analytic substrate immediately after coating, preferably without a step of rinsing the coated analytic substrate before use. The apparatus preferably uses applicator cartridges having a reservoir containing the coating compositions used to form the coatings. Preferably the cartridges are removable and interchangeable to facilitate the production of individual analytic substrates having different coatings or different coating patterns. These coated analytic substrates have superior specimen adhesion characteristics due to the improved quality of the coatings applied by the coating apparatus and due to the quickness with which the coated analytic substrates can be used in the lab after production.
Methods of applying glutinous substances
A method of delivering a glutinous substance from a cartridge to a brush comprises receiving the cartridge inside a sleeve through an inlet of the sleeve while a pressure cap, located proximate the inlet of the sleeve, is in an open position. The method also comprises moving the pressure cap, located proximate the inlet of the sleeve, into a closed position to sealingly couple the pressure cap with a trailing end of the cartridge and to sealingly couple a valve with a leading end of the cartridge. The method further comprises applying pressure to the glutinous substance in the cartridge through a pressure input of the pressure cap to urge the glutinous substance from the cartridge to the valve. The method additionally comprises rotating the brush and opening the valve to enable the glutinous substance to flow from the valve to the brush at least when the brush is rotating.
TABLETS HAVING DISCONTINUOUS COATED REGIONS
A dosage form comprising a tablet core and one or more discontinuous coated regions in various configurations on the surface of the dosage form is disclosed. A method for making the dosage form is also disclosed.
TRANSFER PIN AND TRANSFER DEVICE
A transfer pin includes a main body portion, and a releasing portion formed on a tip end side of the main body portion, and configured to, when a solder paste including a solder ball is dipped and transferred to a mounting portion of a component of a board, release the solder paste from a tip end portion of the main body portion.
SEALANT APPLICATION NOZZLE AND SEALANT APPLICATION DEVICE
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a sealant application nozzle and a sealant application device that can apply a suitable amount of sealant uniformly and with which rapid work can be performed. A sealant application nozzle is provided with: a porous impregnation part that can be impregnated with sealant and elastically deforms by contact with a chamfered part; a sealant supply path that supplies sealant to the impregnation part; a base part that surrounds the impregnation part such that the tip part of the impregnation part is exposed to the outside; and a retention space that is formed between the base part and the impregnation part and retains the sealant.
